Question 1:

(a). Solve the differential equation 𝑢𝑥𝑦 = 𝑠𝑖𝑛(𝑥)𝑐𝑜𝑠(𝑦), subject to the boundary conditions at
𝑦 = 𝜋/2, 𝑢𝑥 = 2𝑥 and at 𝑥 = 𝜋, 𝑢 = 2𝑠𝑖𝑛(𝑦).

(b). A rectangular plate is bounded by the lines 𝑥 = 0, 𝑦 = 0, 𝑥 = 4, 𝑦 = 2. Determine the
potential distribution 𝑢(𝑥, 𝑦) over the rectangle using the Laplace equation
