Thinking Out Loud

By: Ed Sheeran
When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks
And darling I will be loving you 'til we're 70
And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Oh me I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am
So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are
When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don't remember my name
When my hands don't play the strings the same way, mm
I know you will still love me the same
'Cause honey your soul can never grow old, it's evergreen
Baby your smile's forever in my mind and memory
I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe it's all part of a plan
I'll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you'll understand
But baby now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are, oh
So baby now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Oh darling, place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are
Oh baby, we found love right where we are (maybe)
And we found love right where we are

Alright, that is the end of the song. Do

you like it?
Did you find it interesting while listening
and accompanying the song? Students answered.

new concepts and Let’s tackle first the Sensory Images.
practicing new skills #1
What is your idea about Sensory Images?

Students raised their hands and

Thank you, Another?

Very good. Thankyou.

descriptive language to create mental
images. In literary terms, sensory
imagery is a type of imagery; the
difference is that sensory imagery works
by engaging a reader’s five senses. Any
description of sensory experience in
writing can be considered sensory
imagery.

I know that you are all familiar with the

senses. So what are they, Can you
Student answered.
identify one. ______?
Sense of sight
Very good.
Visual imagery engages the sense of
sight. This is what you can see, and
includes visual descriptions. Physical
attributes including color, size, shape,
lightness and darkness, shadows, and
shade are all part of visual imagery. Sense of taste
Another one?
Gustatory imagery engages the sense
of taste. This is what you can taste, and
includes flavors. This can include the
five basic tastes—sweet, salty, bitter,
sour, and umami—as well as the textures
and sensations tied to the act of eating.

Another? Sense of touch

Tactile imagery engages the sense of
touch. This is what you can feel, and
includes textures and the many
sensations a human being experiences
when touching something. Differences in
temperature is also a part of tactile
imagery. Sense of hearing
Next is?
Auditory imagery engages the sense of
hearing. This is the way things sound.
Literary devices such as onomatopoeia
and alliteration can help create sounds in
writing.
Sense of smell
And lastly?
Olfactory imagery engages the sense of
smell. Scent is one of the most direct
triggers of memory and emotion, but can
be difficult to write about. Since taste
and smell are so closely linked, you’ll
sometimes find the same words (such as
“sweet”) used to describe both. Simile is
common in olfactory imagery, because it
allows writers to compare a particular
scent to common smells like dirt, grass,
manure, or roses.

This five are the types of Sensory

Imagery.
Can you give at least once examples from Yes Ma’am
those types?
(Students raised their hands and cite

some examples of the types of sensory
imagery.)
