What I Need to Know
This module was designed and written with you in mind. It is here to help you
master ICT. The scope of this module permits it to be used in many different
learning situations. The language used recognizes the diverse vocabulary level
of students. The lessons are arranged to follow the standard sequence of the
course. But the order in which you read them can be changed to correspond
with the textbook you are now using.
The module is divided into two lessons, namely;

B. Navigating the Slide Presentation Software
Contains different tabs that reveal set of controls specific to that tab. For
example, in Microsoft PowerPoint, Home tab is where you begin to format a
slide. Insert tab is where you insert various types of objects. Design tab where
you edit the look of your slide.

3. The Status Bar
It tells you the slide that is currently displayed.
a. Home
It is basically your starting point in creating your presentation. This
is your main tab when changing the layout of your slides and adding text,
pictures and media.
b. Themes
It is where you change the themes of your slides. This is where you
edit the look of your presentation.
c. Transitions

This is where you add effects to your presentation when you are
moving from slide to slide. For example, you can have the next slide fade
into the current slide or appear from the side of the screen.
d. Animations
This adds entrance and exit effects to the text that appears on the
slide. This is important when you need to emphasize a certain point during
your presentation as it allows you to select which bullet you want to
display first.
Inserting text
Step 1: Click the text box where you want to insert text.

Presentation. Click the Slides tab to display all the slides in your
presentation.
Step 3: Click inside the text placeholder. Highlight the text you want to
edit.
Step 4: Type the new text. The text you type replaces the selected text.

Step 2: Choose a SmartArt Graphics needed from the different categories
shown and click OK.

Demote Demote the level of the selected component.

Change Let you change the color combination of the
Colors elements contained in the SmartArt graphic.
Step 1: Select the Insert tab and then click the Pictures command in

Editing Photos
Step 1: Once the image is imported, Picture Tools will get activated
and open up options to format the image. Click on Picture Style and
select the shaped desired. In this case, Oval is selected.

d. A list of other slides in your presentation will appear. Click
the name of the slide you want to link to.
c. Select the desired file. Click OK. The text or image will now be a
hyperlink to the file you selected

b. On the Animations tab, in the Animation group, click the More
button, and then select the animation effect that you want.
c. You can also insert audio stored locally on your PC by clicking Audio
on My PC.
d. Select the movie/ audio file you want to insert into your presentation.
