BIOGRAPHY OF JENDRAL SUDIRMAN

General Sudirman National Hero is very famous for guerrilla tactics against the invaders. Biography
General Sudirman was once written in a book titled Guru bangsa, A Biography of General Sudirman
written by Sardiman in 2008. He was born in Bodas Karang Jati Purbalingga, Central Java, on Monday 24
January 1916. He has the full name of Raden Soedirman, but better known by the name of General
Sudirman. Both his parents came from a simple family, his father was Karsid Kartowirodji and his mother
Siyem. Sudirman has been treated by Raden Tjokrosoenarjo since his childhood and his wife,
Teoridowati, a Priyayi family.

Biography Education General Sudirman started Hollandsch Inlandsche School, but when the fifth year
General Sudirman quit his school and then continued his studies in Yogyakarta at Taman Siswa school.
After that General Sudirman went to Wirotomo Secondary School. General Sudirman is also gifted in
various science lessons and he also deepens the science of religion. Based on the biography of General
Sudirman, his teacher Suwarjo Tirtosupono and Raden Muhammad Kholil educated him well. After
graduating and after the death of his stepfather who was 19 years old also had taught at Wirotomo

Japanese troops, General Sudirman was asked by the Dutch to provide training to indigenous troops on
military training. And in 1942, Japan's arrival in Indonesia further exacerbated the economic and welfare
state of the indigenous people. Many schools are closed by Japan, one of them is the school where he

with the Japanese government to open the school.

Hirosima, General Sudirman helped Soekarno Hatta and other fighters to secure the preparation for
independence. After independence, the Indonesian state needs to establish an Indonesian security force
/ army.

The story of the struggle of General Sudirman continued with his joining with BKR which eventually
changed into TKR (now called TNI). At that time the rank of General Sudirman began to develop because
of his tenacity. Starting from the rank of colonel lieutenant general, generals, until the Great general. In
