Gross Earnings = Net Earnings + Deductions
= ₱21436 + (₱1089 + ₱375 + ₱600 + ₱1500)
= ₱21436 + ₱3564
= ₱25000
2. The employees of Abidas Merchandise only have the following deductions on their basic pay: SSS
and Philhealth contributions. Kyrie Thomas, who works as a sales executive in the company, earns a
monthly salary of ₱28,000.00. If his SSS and Philhealth contributions are ₱791.50 and ₱200.00,
respectively, how much is the amount of his net earnings?
Net Earnings = Gross Earnings – Deductions
= ₱28000 – (₱791.50 + ₱200.00)
= ₱28000 – ₱991.50
= ₱27008.50
