Questions:

1. Which of contrasting characteristics has a greater percentage in each trait?

In terms of tongue rolling, all of the students have tongue roller characteristic with a percentage of 100%.

In terms of handedness, 93.75% of 32 students are right-handed while there are only 6.25% that are left-handed.

In terms of earlobe attachment, 62.5% of 32 students have attached earlobes while 37.5% have free earlobes.

In terms of dimple, 78.125% of 32 students don’t have a dimple while 21.875% does have a dimple.

In terms of hand clasping, 53.125% of 32 students got a top left thumb while 46.875% have top right thumb.
In terms of Hitchhiker’s thumb, 65.625% of 32 students are hitchhikers while 34.374% are not.

2. What is your implication of the result in the activity, the trait with higher percentage and lower percentage?

In this case, there’s a lot of variety of characteristics each students have. There’s a higher percentage for average people and a lower percentage for people who has a unique
characteristic. As what we have observed in the table in the first trait, all of the students are tongue roller as what I have expected because most people can roll their tongue but I must still say
that not everyone can do it. In the trait handedness, most of the students are comfortable using their right hand than the other one.

Even though attached earlobes are not commonly found according to research, I am surprised that there’s a higher percentage of students with attached earlobes than those people who
have free earlobes. There are also only few students who have a dimple which makes them unique the same as those students who are hitchhikers.

3. Describe some recognizable characteristics in your family and siblings.

For most of us, being tall is one of the recognizable characteristics that you can see when you meet my family. Even though we have more girls in the family than boys, you can still
obviously see that being tall runs to our genes. Another characteristic my family have is having a thick black shiny hair. Right after we were born, hair in our head is already in it and as we grow,
the hair thickens and with proper handling, became long and shiny hair.

4. Who among the siblings more likely similar to your father or your mother other?

The oldest sibling in my family is more likely similar to my mother meanwhile, my youngest brother is more likely similar to my father.

5. Why do you think similarities and differences exist in your family?

Similarities and differences exist in every family in the world just like ours. The reason that I can think of right now on why there are similarities and differences within my family is
because of the genes. We may come from the same parents but that doesn’t mean that there will be no changes on us (offspring) if we receive their genes. Their will be changes, of course,
because the genes of our parents are not alike so it’s obvious that we might inherit mixed genes.

6. Explain why you and your siblings not exactly the same of your mother nor your father?

After all, we get our genes from our parents. But me and my siblings don't exactly look like my parents because everyone (including parents) actually has two copies of most of their
genes. And these copies can be different. Parents pass one of their two copies of each of their genes to their kids.
