2. The beam column AB in Fig. 2 is resting on roller support at A and fixed at B. The
external moment applied at A is M and the corresponding moment developed at B is
“c M”. Derive an expression for c.

applied at the middle of the respective members. (a) Determine the values of end
moments MAB and MBA in the beam-column AB, and (b) the bending moment under the
load Q. Take Q = 100kN, P = 0.75Q, IAD = 5×106mm4, E = 2×105MPa, LAD = 3m.
