Atit / Neetu,

Please check whether the resignation note has come from the personal email id which is registered in
WD. If yes, please proceed with the below steps.

Step 1: Please accept the employee's resignation with the below draft (as a reply to his resignation note )
and attach the same in Workday while raising separation.

***DRAFT*** You are free to make amendments incase of any difference from actuals.

We are hereby accepting your resignation and your Last Day of Employment with IBM will be 3 December
2021. Please return the IBM assets back to us at the earliest (if any), you may return it in the asset store
from where the asset was issued.

Step 2: Incase if the employee has availed any unplanned / unapproved absences, please ensure that
those are covered as 'Additional Time off - unpaid' (and the same has to be communicated to the
employee on email). Please do not skip this step, and we will be able to recover/stop the salary only by
updating LOA.

Step 3: Initiate separation on behalf of the employee in Workday. The rehire status is upto your discretion.
Incase of any doubts in raising separation or updating LOA, please use the below link. Please do not
choose any involuntary separation reasons. The notification date, separation date, pay through date, last
day of work will be have to be 3 Dec 2021 Please attach the copy of resignation note along with
acknowledgement as a PDF under 'attachments' and mark it as 'separations' under category. Please click
on 'Edit Additional Data' and select the notice period action and submit again. Our recommendation is to
waive off considering the fact that he is already on bench.

Hi Neetu,

Hope you're doing good.

Since past 2 week my life went with worst phase. Lost my grand father & cousin due to post covid
complications and my wife got hospitalized for a week. My dad was already on medical support due to 2nd
time cardiac arrest.

I am in a situation where I cannot work and take care of family. Hence I am taking this decision of
resigning from my current position.
Please let me know your views and assist me further on resignation.
