The beaver is a semiaquatic rodent. There are only two kinds of Beavers, the American
Beaver and the Eurasian Beaver. The two species share similar behavior and anatomy, although
they have some small physical differences, such as the shape of the nasal bones. They are large
rodents; the average adult beaver weighs about 16 kg, but specimens as heavy as 40 kg (90 lb.)
have been found, and some extinct beavers were almost bearlike in size.
The beaver is usually about 76 cm long and stands less than 30 cm high. The broad, flat,
scaly tail is about 25 cm long and serves as a warning signal when slapped against the water, as
a support when the beaver is standing on its hind legs, and as a rudder while swimming. The
body is plump, the back arched, the neck thick, the hind feet webbed, and all the digits clawed.
The fur is usually reddish-brown above and lighter or grayish below. The eyes are small and the
nostrils closable. The skull is massive, with marked ridges for flexing the muscles that work the
jaws. The two front teeth on either jaw are like those of other rodents, wearing away more
rapidly behind so as to leave a sharp, enameled chiseled edge. With these, the beaver can cut
down large trees. It usually selects trees 5 to 20 cm (2 to 8 in) in diameter, but it can fell trees
with diameters as large as 76 cm (30 in). Beavers have a pair of anal scent glands, called
castors, that secrete a musk-like substance called castoreum, probably for marking territories.
The animals tend to be monogamous and may live 20 years or more. The female has one litter a
year, usually of two four young.

Many people live in a dense dirty area where there are narrow and shallow rivers. They
potentially at risk of flooding, which might be caused by both humans and nature.
Human's bad habits are some of the main causes of flooding. People throw garbage and
trash in the river. The flow is blocked and consequently, the water spills out to the land.
In addition, natural phenomena may result in dangerous floods. Naturally, floods happen
when the rain is extremely heavy over an unusually long period of time.
In some cases, areas that experience a great deal of snow in winter are prone to
springtime flooding when the snow and ice melt, especially if the thaw is relatively sudden.
Rainfall and snowmelt can sometimes combine to cause floods.
A unique combination of factors sometimes also causes floods. For instance, whenever
the ocean is at high tide, a low-lying coastal area is at risk of flooding. Exceptionally high tides
may be attributed to a storm caused by a combination of factors, like low barometric pressure
and high winds. Finally, floods sometimes can occur regardless of the climate. Examples are
volcanic heating and rapid melting of a snow pack atop a volcanic mountain or under a glacier,
or even failures of natural or man-made dams. tsunamis; seismic waves on the sea or large lakes

Once upon a time, there was a woman who had been lost in the desert for three whole
days without water. Just as she was about to collapse, she saw what appeared to be a lake just a
few hundred yards in front of her. "Could it be? Or is it just a mirage?" she thought to herself.
With the last bit of strength she could muster, she staggered toward the lake. Quickly she
learned that her prayers had been answered. It was no mirage-it was indeed a large, spring-fed
lake full of fresh water- more fresh water than she could ever drink in her lifetime. Yet, while she
was literally dying of thirst, she couldn't bring herself to drink the water. She simply stood by the
water's edge and stared down at it.
There was a passerby riding on a camel from a nearby desert town who was watching the
woman's bizarre behavior. He got off his camel, walked up to the thirsty woman, and asked,
"Why don't you have a drink, Ma'am?"
She looked up at the man with an exhausted, distraught expression across her face and
tears welling up in her eyes. "I am dying of thirst," she said, "but there is way too much water
here in this lake to drink. No matter what I do, I can't possibly finish it all."
The passerby smiled, bent down, scooped some water up with his hands, lifted it to the
woman's mouth and said, "Ma'am, your opportunity right now, and as you move forward
throughout the rest of your life, is to understand that you don't have to drink the whole lake to
quench your thirst. You can simply take one sip. Just one small sip... and then another if you
choose. Focus only on the mouthful in front of you, and all your anxiety, fear, and overwhelm
about the rest will gradually fade."

More and more people want to help the environment, as a result of which waste
separation is becoming increasingly popular.
Separating waste is important because it is better for the environment and it is processed
in the right way. The separation of waste ensures that recyclable materials are reused when
making new products. This is also called recycling. New packaging or crates are made from
plastic, new paper is made from waste paper, and biogas is made from organic waste. In
addition, there is also an option to reuse certain items. For example, bring old furniture to the
cycle and put clothing in a container for the Salvation Army.
When separating waste, the different types of waste do not end up in the rubbish bin. In
this way, you put plastic waste in a plastic bag, waste is put into the green bin and you throw the
remaining waste into the residual waste bin. You ensure that the types of waste that you separate
come together.
Separating waste therefore reduces the incineration of residual waste. This reduces CO,
emissions, which in turn has a positive effect on the greenhouse effect. In addition, you save on
raw materials because there is reuse and recycling. For example, fewer trees are cut for paper,
less petroleum is needed to produce plastic and we need fewer (rare) metals for making tin and
appliances.
If you separate your waste, your money can be saved. The following applies: the less
residual waste you offer, the more money you save. You can start by separating your house
waste with plastics, paper, and cans or metal. By doing that, your environment will healthier and
the bin is easier to be cleaned up that all kinds of waste in one place.
