First Place (Jhorjhori Waterfall)

The most popular places of interest for adventure


travellers at present are located in the Mirsarai
and Sitakunda areas of Chittagong. Jhorjhori
Waterfalls is a brand new attraction in this area
which is full of mountains, sea and natural
springs. To the local aborigines, it is also known
as Murti Jharna.

As you pass Hajipara village in Panthichila of


Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong district, you can
see the location of this jharjhari spring or idol
spring in the depths of the hill.

The first waterfall to be seen after walking for


about an hour along the trail is Jharjhari Jharna.
If you go further up on the left side, you will see
some very nice khum and cascade. It is very
difficult to go to the top of the spring so it is best
to go towards the end of the rainy season.

Second Place (Lohagara Bonno Prani


Ovoyaranno)

The Lohagara Bonno Prani Ovoyaranno in


Chittagong is a potentially rich natural wildlife
sanctuary with a rich forest of biodiversity in the
southeastern subcontinent and an important
region for Asian elephant breeding.
The sanctuary is located on the west side of
Chunti Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway in
Lohagara upazila, about 60 km south of
Chittagong city.
Third Place (Lal Dighi)

Lal Dighi is one of the traditional places of


Chittagong city in Bangladesh. Its location is on
the last boundary of Jail Road in the city.
Andarkilla is on one side of it. It is surrounded by
district council buildings and local bank
branches. It belongs to the 32nd ward of
Chittagong City Corporation.

On the banks of Laldighi, on the 12th of Baishakh


in 1910, Abdul Jabbar performed the first
wrestling game. Since then, Jabbar's Balikhela
has been held on the bank of Laldighi on the 12th
of Baishakh every year. [At present there is a
mosque on the west bank of Laldighi. There is a
park surrounded by greenery for the
entertainment of the townspeople.

Buses or auto rickshaws can be used to get


around.

Fourth Place(Patenga Beach)

Patenga Beach (Patenga Samodra Soikot) is 14


km from the port city of Chittagong. Located to
the south. It is located at the mouth of the river
Karnafuli. Patenga is a popular tourist
destination. It is close to the Naval Academy of
Bangladesh Navy and Shah Amanat International
Airport. At night the security is very good and
there is enough light in the street.
Numerous fishing boats are anchored here.
Speedboats are also available for tourists. Most
of the tourists come to Patenga beach to enjoy
the beautiful view of sunset and sunrise.

Patenga beach port city is 14 km from


Chittagong city. Located to the south. It is
located at the mouth of the river Karnafuli.
