Description
Syncro XT+ multi area addressable control panel enables extinguishing status indication and control units, or ancillary relay boards connected via a
systems to use all the features and benefits of the more sophisticated simple four-core cable.
detection techniques provided by addressable fire detectors. It also
includes other benefits of analogue addressable systems such as control With the addition of a Syncro network card, Syncro XT+ control panels can
of loop connected sounders, beacons and input/output modules. be networked to provide scalable extinguishing systems for
all sizes of installation.
With up to 16 zones of addressable detection over one or two loops it
ensures every detector can contribute to the extinguishant release.

The Syncro XT+ has up to four extinguishing areas and two releasing
outputs per area which can be controlled via simple coincidence detection
or via more complex cause and effects configured by the Loop Explorer
configuration programme.

Each extinguishant area has a comprehensive set of inputs and outputs and
is configurable via the Loop Explorer configuration programme.
All extinguishant areas may have up to seven serially connected Sigma Si

Operation Features
The Discovery Optical Smoke Detector has a white moulded Response modes
polycarbonate case with wind-resistant smoke inlets.
The indicator LEDs are colourless when the detector is in Discovery Optical Smoke Detectors can be operated in
quiescent state and red in alarm. Within the case is a printed any one of five EN54 approved response modes, which
circuit board which on one side has the light proof labyrinth can be selected through the fire control panel. Each mode
chamber with integral gauze surrounding the optical corresponds to a unique response behaviour, which is related
measuring system and on the other the address capture, to sensitivity to fire. Mode 1 gives a higher sensitivity to fire
signal processing and communications electronics. than Mode 5.

An infrared light emitting diode within its collimator is Discovery Optical Smoke Detector
arranged at an obtuse angle to the photo-diode. The photo- Response Times
diode has an integral daylight blocking filter.
Alarm Minimum
The IR LED emits a burst of collimated light every second. In Mode threshold dB/m time to alarm

Discovery Optical Smoke Detector
schematic diagram Flashing LEDs
Discovery Optical Smoke Detectors have two integral LED
indicators, which can be illuminated at any time by the
Address buttons fire control panel to indicate detectors in alarm. A flashing
Optical chamber LED mode can also be programmed to activate each time a
detector is polled.
Photo-diode
PCB cover Remote test feature
The remote test feature is enabled from the fire control panel.
On receipt of the command signal from the fire control panel,
the detector is forced electrically into alarm. An analogue
value of 85 is returned to the fire control panel to indicate
that the detector is working correctly.

Case molding Infra-red LED Rejection of transient signals

Discovery detectors are designed to give low sensitivity to
very rapid changes in the sensor output, since these are
unlikely to be caused by real fire conditions, resulting in
fewer false alarms.

terminals. An earth connection terminal is also provided. Mode 4 has lower than normal smoke sensitivity combined
with high heat sensitivity. This makes it suitable for
applications in which a certain amount of fumes or smoke is
considered normal.
Mode 5† has no smoke sensitivity at all but gives a pure heat
detector response meeting the response time requirements
for a Class A1R detector in the European Standard EN 54-
5. In this mode the detector will respond to slowly changing
temperatures and has a ‘fixed temperature’ alarm threshold
at 58OC. The analogue value in this mode will give the
approximate air temperature over the range 15OC to 55ºC.
In Mode 5 the smoke sensor is still active though it does not
contribute to the analogue signal. As a consequence, if the
detector is used in a dirty or smoky environment the optical
sensor drift flag may be activated in the heat only mode.

Remote test feature

The remote test feature is enabled from the fire control
panel. On receipt of the command signal from the fire
control panel, the detector is forced electrically into alarm.
An analogue value of 85 is returned to the fire control panel
to indicate that the detector is working correctly.
Rejection of transient signals
Discovery detectors are designed to give low sensitivity to
very rapid changes in the sensor output, since these are
unlikely to be caused by real fire conditions, resulting in
fewer false alarms.
Drift compensation
Discovery Optical / Heat Multisensor detectors include
compensation for signal drift to compensate for changes
in the sensor output caused, for example by dust in the
chamber, and will therefore hold the sensitivity at a
constant level even with severe chamber contamination.
This increased stability is achieved without significantly
affecting the detectors sensitivity to fire whilst still meeting
the requirements of the EN54 standard.

• High Sound Level Buzzer
• Selectable Buzzer
• New Design, Less Thick
• Wall Mounting
• EN 54-3:2001 + A1:2002 + A2:2006

LF20W is an audio warning panel, available in different models and suited for any emergency situation such as fire,
flooding, gas leaks, etc., where audio information is needed. Its special design, very pleasant is particularly suited for
hotels, shops, malls and cinemas.

Technology and Design

Thickness
A special light diffuser guarantees the uniform lighting of the panel’s label. A
14mm
high sound level buzzer ensures an efficient acoustic warning in case of
alarm, granting the compliance to the norm UNI EN54-3.
The label inside the panel is provided with the standard sentence “FIRE
ALARM”, but labels with different messages and languages are available as
accessory. Thin and special design make LF20W warning panel unique for
technology and efficiency.

Primjena
Bezhalogeni instalacijski kabel za industrijsku elektroniku s poboljšanim svojstvima za slučaju požara, upotrebljava se unutar sustava za
mjerenja, podatkovnih i upravljačkih sustava. Elektrostatički zaslon štiti prijenosne krugove od vanjskih ometajućih elektromagnetskih
utjecaja.
Prednosti:
• bez halogena, bez ispuštanja otrovnih i korozivnih plinova u slučaju požara
• reducirana pojava dima u slučaju požara
• ne širi plamen u okomitom snopu kabela, teško zapaljiv
• očuvana električna funkcija sustava u zadanom vremenu
