1 PRELIMINARIES

Replacement Procedure
1. Statys and Load Conditions
Statys must be switched on manual By-Pass and Q30 opened.

2 Fans removal

Replacement Procedure
2.1. Dismantling protection panel

Loosen all fixation

2.3. Disconnecting the fans drawers

Remove fixation
screws of SS2 fans
drawer (2x TX25).
Disconnect
SS2 fans drawer XC1 on
both DU440
board

Disconnect XJ20

Remove fixation
screws of SS1 fans
drawer (2x TX25). DU440 can be
removed

2 Fans removal

2.4. Extracting the fans drawers
This chapter must be used four fans on SS1 and fans on SS2.

Extract SS1 & SS2 fans drawers

Put down each drawer


with fans upward

According to Statys
version, transformers
can be present or not.

2.5. Disconnections
This chapter must be used four fans on SS1 and fans on SS2.

Disconnect XB1 to XB4


of DU440

On each terminal, disconnect


wires and keep the connector

For each fan,


disconnect the three
wires on fan terminal.

2.6. Mechanical dismounting
This chapter must be used four fans on SS1 and fans on SS2.

Remove the four fans

and keep them

Keep ground cables

3.1. Mechanical mounting
This chapter must be used four fans on SS1 and fans on SS2.

Fixe the four fans


Put up the railings

This chapter must be used four fans on SS1 and fans on SS2.

For each fan, connect

Reposition cables

Do not cut the wires.


Creates loops with sensors cables.

4 Tests

Replacement Procedure
4.1. Fan functioning test
Conditions:
Statys is still on By-pass with Q30 opened.
If source 1 is present, close Q41 and close SS1
Else close Q42 and close SS2
=> Fans are powered and start running.

Wait 30 seconds that the speed of fans is stable.


Then launch “fan calibration” command.

Both DU440 boards are recording fans speed.

Fans of SS1 and SS2 were all calibrated in the same time.

On both DU440 boards, all

4.2. Fan functioning test on SS1

To test fan functioning, we will verify fans fault detection in case of fan fuse failure.
Fan failure are simulated by opening fuse support.

when fuses are opened, no more powered fans must be detected in failure.
To validate convenient functioning or if others failures are detected, use the tables
bellow for diagnostic.
