Introduction
NTT DATA continues to grow as a global company, adding many group companies to its network. In order to build a brand
that wields strong influence in the global market, it is becoming increasingly important to communicate a consistent brand
image and message in every contact point with our stakeholders worldwide.
This guideline has been created for all people that will be involved in the brand communication for NTT DATA. With the
purpose of maximizing the corporate value of NTT DATA, the guideline sets out our policy and specific rules of application
for the visual identity, as well as examples of prohibited usage that need to be specified in order to protect the brand equity
and eliminate various risks that may damage the company’s image or reputation. Patent Office

the Corporate Logotype and Corporate Color and
symbolically expresses the corporate philosophy and
vision of NTT DATA, while prescribing the method with
which they should be combined.

application templates that show how the elements of
the Basic Design System have been applied in diverse ways.
It provides unified design templates and prescribes
the basic standard for displaying design elements to
ensure consistent brand communication.

Corporate Logotype The bold design of the custom letterforms conveys the brand’ s strong position in IT.
The combination of curved and angular forms creates a unique balance of technology
and humanity.
In order to increase the discernibility of the logotype, make sure to have an isolation zone
that is more than 1/2 the size of the logotype’ s vertical height. Do not put any other
elements within this area.

Tagline The Tagline is used to express the company’ s ideals, such as its corporate philosophy and vision.

Corporate Names The NTT DATA Corporate Names are set in Helvetica Neue 65 Medium.
When writing the Corporate Names, "NTT DATA" should always appear
in uppercase letters.
Corporate Names in Body Text When you show the Corporate Names in body text on printed matter, use a typeface that
is consistent with the body text in which it appears. In any kind of text, use NTT DATA in
all uppercase letters.
The following rules apply when displaying the Corporate Logotype in combination with the Corporate Name.
There are two permissible arrangements, one vertical and the other horizontal. Each has its own isolation zone.

This may only be used for companies categorized as Case 1-a under the brand management rules.
Letters combined with the Corporate Logo must be set in Helvetica Neue 45 Light, referring to the example below.
Color Variation
The color variations are identical to those stipulated for the Corporate Logotype.

The isolation area is the clear area or space that surrounds the text. This isolation zone, as illustrated by the light gray box around the
text, is equal to 1/2x, where x is the height of the “N” in the Logotype. Please see the example below.

When locking up a logo/logotype other than the NTT DATA Corporate Logotype,
always use the Group Descriptor "an NTT DATA Company."

To further build the brand image of NTT DATA, graphic elements (such as the Innovation Curve, Color Bar, etc.) can be applied to the applications.
Innovation Curve / The Innovation Curve is composed of square grids, which represent “precision,”
Color Bar overlaid with a curve design representing “humanness” that is derived from the Corporate Logotype.
It expresses NTT DATA’s innovative spirit and unique worldview, as well as its passionate pursuit of IT solutions.
NTT DATA’s key graphic elements are composed of square patterns on the grid.
The Innovation Curve is made by overlaying the curve design on to the Square Grid.
Image Colors In addition to Human Blue, four image colors are designated to give impressive
expressions to the corporate NTT DATA worldview.
These colors are chosen to impart a sharp, vividly colored, powerful impression
and for the ability to express the worldview, even when used singly.

There are five configurations of the Innovation Curve graphic element. To reproduce the Innovation Curve,
use the digital data for reproduction without altering it.
Only the colors of the Innovation Curve may be changed; do not alter the design.
When altering the colors of the Innovation Curve:
1. Choose from the Innovation Curve Image Colors [2.1-14].
2. When using Full Spectrum Innovation Curve, it is recommended that 75% or more of the whole is in the colors
