ESG, Sustainability
ESG being new set of standards for a company's operations, I have attended a course on Introduction to ESG under Corporate Finance
Institute® (CFI) to gain more insight. I am an accredited LEED Green Associate; I have been working as a Sustainability Research
Associate with Green Building Research Institute to produce various case studies on LEED accredited buildings for U.S. Green Building
Study Platform and GBRI. I've also finished the Water Edge Design Guidelines course through the Waterfront Alliance and am a WEDG
associate, which is a resource to advocate for better waterfronts with shoreline access and community resiliency. I have done courses and
researched on various sustainability topics such as UNSDG 2030 Agenda (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) by Green
Building Research Institute, Dubai Green Building Regulations and Specification, National Climate Change Plan UAE (2017-50) and
COP26 Climate Summit.

Project Management
Ongoing training for Project Management Professional (PMP).

Estimation and Tendering

During my time in Kochi Municipal corporation, I was engaged with Tender Document Preparation, Maintaining Bill of Quantity,
Estimate Preparation, Closure Document Preparation of various projects in non-motorized urban transport and Green Space
Development of Kudumbi Colony Green Space, Mythri Nagar Park, Vypin Jetty Green Space, Footpath at Thoppumpady, Footpath at
Thevara junction, Development of Pambayimoola, Walkway at Petta junction, Foot path Nazarath- Janatha-Jubile Road, Walkway along
Panorama road, Walkway along Kadavanthara to KV school, Walkway along Karanakodam thodu, Chambakkara canal roads walkway, JLN

FIDIC and Contract Management

Familiar with FIDIC Conditions of Contract 1987 edition and how it is broadly applied throughout the global architecture, engineering,
construction, and operations industry. Further I have gathered how FIDIC contracts serve as a foundation for any engineering or
construction project, simplifying contract management and making cross-border collaboration easier. I am learning about roles and
authority, labor conditions, delays caused by authorities, procedure for dispute settlement and resolution, defect liability, as well as liability
for errors, proving access to and on the site, obtaining permits and approvals, and unforeseeable physical conditions as covered in standard
FIDIC contracts.

MY RESPONSIBILITIES OF CIVIL ENGINEER IN CONSTRUCTION SITE

1. Interpretation of Drawing
Worked according to the dimensions specified in the design, I understood and assessed the information provided in various types of
construction drawings, such as plan, section, and elevation plans.

2. Preparing Bar Bending Schedule

To calculate the steel cutting and bend, I gathered specifications in the bar bending schedule (BBS), such as the required steel, its diameter,
cutting length, total weight, bending shape, number, and steelworker. BBS was also used to create the bill of work.

3. Allotting Work to Labors

On the construction site, I monitored on the laborers and gave them instructions on what task to do, and what materials to use.

4. Supervision of Construction Work

Work on the construction site was supervised to verify that it was completed in line with the designs and specifications.

5. Preparing Schedule of Material Used and Available

The Material Schedule was used to verify the material on site, materials arrived and its specification, and quantity material remaining.

6. Plotting Line – Level on Construction Site

The Dumpy Level was used to verify if the work on the site was done in accordance with the guided line level.

7. Preparing Work Chart Schedule

At the construction site, I made a work chart timetable to see how much work had been completed and how much work needed to be
done. To attain objectives, I created a work chart timetable and worked in accordance with it.

8. Checking Steel Work of Slab, Beam, & Column Before Concreting

The steel put in the slab, column, and beam, among other things, was verified before any concrete work was done. Examine details such as
whether the specified diameter of steel bar was utilized, the quantity of bars, bar spacing, and whether a portion received an adequate
cover.

9. Checking & Arranging Equipment Before Concreting Work Starts

Monitoring whether the concrete-mixing machine, such as a vibrator and its back up, is present on the job site for continuing work.

10. Supervision of The Curing Process

To prevent the formation of fractures in the concrete, the curing process was closely monitored once the concrete construction was
completed.

11. Keeping Note of Every Casting Work

Keeping track of every casting job, such as the amount of concrete used in a m 3, the quantity of formwork used, the amount of steel
used, labor used, and the amount of material utilized.

12. Other Work

Preparing Steel Record (Available Steel and Used Steel Record), Concrete Record, Labor Muster, Bill of Quantity, and Preparing and
Sending Daily Process Report to Higher Authority.
