    Saudi Arabia has issued new import and export detention charges effective December 18, 2018 until further notice. For imports, detention charges increase gradually from SAR 30-120 per day for the first 15 days to SAR 200-550 per day after 60 days, depending on container size and temperature control. Export detention charges are lower, increasing from SAR 60-120 per day to SAR 100-300 per day after 30 days. Temperature controlled containers have higher rates. Storage fees are charged directly by terminal operators.
