The fuel oil is conveyed to the centriftuge by means of a separate pump or a pump
flanged to the separator.
The clarfied clean oil is discharged under pressure (2) by means of centripetal
pump (12).
The bowl is opened and closed automatically for solids ejection at full bowl speed
by means of a remote-controlled solenold valve in the operating water line. The
opening time of the solenold valve is 3 seconds.
The small volume ofliquid() which is branched off via the separating disk (13) and
the sensing liquid pump (10) Is monitored by a conductivity sensor (5).
If the sensor registers water the solenold valve (8) opens and the water flows off
through the dirty water discharge (14). The centrifuge operates as a purifier.
As soon as the sensor detects a change in conductivity brought about by an in-
creased proportlon of oil, the solenoid valve (8) closes and the solenoid valve (7)
The liquid flow (9) is recycled into the feed (1). The

The milky or dirty appearance of the water is quite normal; it is caused by the oil

A separating zone between the

of this zone is the separating line.

at the outer rim of the discs.
