Situation 2: If you will be given a chance to be an OFW, how can you contribute to the economy
of the country?
Answers:
Filipino workers OFW have also considerably improved the lives of our countrymen, and
have brought some sense of economic security and well-being to our nation. OFWs are indeed the
country’s modern heroes. Their work overseas has greatly helped reduce poverty and played a
major part in turning our once-lackluster financial system into the booming one it is today. OFW
remittances have steadily increased to over $ 25 billion a year in the past several years. Because
this money is sent to families of OFWs to buy mainly goods and services, it goes directly to
business, leading to a corresponding increase in income in related sectors of the economy.
However the allure of a better life overseas has also caused not only a drain on our country in
terms of human skills, talents and potentials, but also the separation of families. In my opinion a
huge sacrifice for which no amount cases, separation robs families of the chance to foster healthy
relationships.

globalization, the communication and interaction between people has become
possible, easier and faster. We are in a transforming world wherein industrial
revolution is arising and is inevitable. In our cases, people should learn to be
globally competitive so they won’t be left behind.
5. Simplest thing that a Filipino can do is promote the agricultural aspect in our

My Reflection in Module 1—Introduction to Globalization in this module Globalization means the

speedup of movements and exchanges (of human beings, goods, and services, capital, technologies or
cultural practices) all over the planet. One of the effects of globalization is that it promotes and
increases interactions between different regions and populations around the globe. Defining
globalization can enlighten the people on what is really happening in the world. It helps us gain new
knowledge and share our own ideas all over the world and at the same time, we also hear or read ideas
from other people. If we are defining globalization, we are also making ourselves aware of the different
meanings, definitions, and roles of globalization in the world and in our lives. Also Globalization is the
free movement of goods, services and people across the world in a seamless and integrated manner.
Globalization can be thought of to be the result of the opening up of the global economy and the
concomitant increase in trade between nations.
Then next Module 2—The Globalization of World economies. In this module Economic
Globalization is something that has been with mankind since the beginning of the world. We may
attribute this to the effects of human innovation and technological progress from the local to the
global. The Philippines is the central of globalization as of today because of introducing of overseas
Filipino Workers (or simply OFW) throughout the globe. This has a great impact to the economic
status of the Philippines because of remittances. Many developed countries became our “suki” for
seeking employment in their countries.
Then next Module 3—A History of global Politics: creating an international order. In this
module Is a modern movement. Throughout history people have been attached to their native soil, to
the traditions of their parents, and to established territorial authorities: but it was not until the end of
the 18th century that nationalism began to be generally recognized sentiment molding public and
private life and one of the great, if not the greatest, single determining factors of modern history.
Because of its dynamic vitality and its all-pervading character, nationalism is often thought to be very
old; sometimes it is mistakenly regarded as a permanent factor in political behaviour. Nationalism is a
felling that makes the people in your jurisdiction fight for their country.
Then nest Module 4—The united nations and contemporary global governance which is The
system of global governance is multi-faceted because it encompasses several global areas of
governance including security, justice, human rights, development, trade, and finance. Consequently ,
assessing the impact of this global system depends on one’s theoretical lens. Nation states feed into
and interact with one another at internal organization (IO) often diplomacy is managed through IO.
That being said, IOs are not sovereign but states are- which implies and is often the case that they
control decision within the state and their outward facing relationships. Hence IOs can fine, take legal
actions and say words but cannot force governments to do things but the state can. States are
sovereign and they make decisions through governments which is part of the state. They also form IOs
and are the mass of IOs, without them IOs would not exist and they ultimately decide on the IOs
action through collective votes and input.
Then lastly Module 5 which is A World of Regions. Regionalism is the process through which
geographical regions become significant political and/or economic units serving as the basis for
cooperation and possibly identity while Globalization is the interconnectedness and interdependence
of states, forming a process of international integration arising from the interchange of world views,
products, ideas, and other aspects of culture. Regionalism is inevitably linked with globalization.
Whilst globalization is the increased interdependence of states; regionalism allows this dependence.
For example, the European Union gives states the foundation for free trade and therefore a Segway
leading into reaching globalization. Regional trade blocks then have given states the scope to increased
communication, contact and trade (in other words, an opportunity for globalization
