1. Where are you from?

My hometown is HN, which is located in the North of Vietnam. My city is known to be the
capital city and an economic area of my country. The population at here is about 7 million and
it's famous for historic sites, especially for the Vietnam War.

2. What do you like about your hometown?


Yes, there are many things I am really into when living in HN. Firstly, because it is where my
relatives and best friends live, so I always feel a strong sense of warmth. Also, HN has a lot of
tourist attractions where I can come and meet international visitors to improve my English
ability. Especially, I really like the hospitality of the people in my village where we are living
close together and willing to give a hand when someone needed.

3. Is there much to do in your hometown?


Oh yes, there’s certainly a lot to do there cause it’s a fairly big city. If you will go out in the
evening there are tons of good restaurants and bars. If you’re into cultural activities there are
museums and art galleries.

4. What are the people like in your hometown?


Well, they are mostly pretty friendly and hospitable. But as big cities everyone is often busy
so they may come off as being aloof or not interested in talking. But if you live there and get
to know the people then you’ll notice that most locals are quite happy to have a chat if they
have time and will lend you a hand if needed.

5. What are the main tourist attractions in your hometown?


It seems to me that Ho Guom is the main tourist attractions in my hometown. I believe Ho
Guom are symbols of Hanoi that attract most visitors every year. Besides, visitors will be
really keen on activities in the heart of the city such as the fair, art exhibition, and so on.

6. Do you like living in the city?


Yes, I do because I can hang out with my friends at coffee shop, and also go shopping with
them in shopping mall. Besides, there are a variety of restaurants where I can visit in order to
reduce stress after a hard-working week.
7. Would you prefer to live somewhere else?
For the moment I'm happy living here, but at some points I'd like to live in a country with a
fresh atmosphere and peaceful sence.

8. Do you think your hometown is a good place for young people? (Why)?
Yes absolutely, HN is an ideal place for young people in terms of amenities (tiện ích) such as
lively bars, and shopping malls which are completely suitable for the young. Also, there are a
number of industrial zones (khu cn) or office blocks (khối văn phòng), so young graduates
can easily land decent jobs (tìm công việc tốt).

9. Has your hometown changed much since you were a child?


Actually yes. It has changed enormously. 10 years ago, I could barely find tall building
around my area, but now I can easily catch sight of skyscrapers and tower blocks there.

10. Are there any changes you would like to make in your hometown?
I would like to innovate the infrastructure conditions there so that I can avoid being stuck in
the traffic jam during the rush hours (giờ cao điểm).
