Well, I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City which is one of the biggest cities in Vietnam.

You know,
HCM is a bustling metropolis with a complex history and colonial structure remains.

Honestly, I do take a lot of pride in being a citizen here. What I mean here is that I have all the modern
amenities such as, hospitals, parks, recreational centers and better job opportunities. Besides, I can
witness the evolution and development of my city with an array of skyscrapers and new buildings have
been built in recent years. I think it is true to say that this is the city that never sleeps. I like the
hospitality and the love of people there which I hardly find them in my current place. Everyone is living
close together and willing to give others a hand when they need help.

To be honest, I am not kind of a city person and I am quite fed up with the traffic jam in the city, so if I
were to live somewhere else, it would have to be somewhere off the beaten track to escape the hustle
and bustle of city life. That way, I can be closer to nature and soak up fresh air every morning.
Sometimes, when I’m distressed about life, I think of moving to Quy Nhon to live. It’s about over
1000km away from Hanoi. The reason why I choose this place is first, I want to seek escapism from the
hectic pace of life. Second, the sea is a tranquil place to walk, where I can free my negative thoughts or
worries.

Personally, it’s a bit boring for me because as a small town, there isn’t a shopping mall or any other
means of entertainment. The streets don’t get very crowded as well. However, I believe that it is
improving day by day and turning into a potential hotspot due to the increasing number of annual
visitors. Well, as my city is growing in size and developing day by day, pollution and crime are also
increasing, unfortunately. That is the only thing that has to be dealt with. The problem of big cities is
most likely the overload situation of every system. For example, the hospital is always overcrowded with
patients, up to the point when people have to reserve an appointment for a week later to meet doctors.

7. Do you get many tourists visiting your area?

Certainly yes, as I have said before, Ha Noi has a lot of tourist attractions which are really worth coming.
Thanks to convenient bus routes, I can get tourists to travel around where I live. Visitors will be really
keen on activities in the heart of the city such as the fair, art exhibition, and so on.

Well, my city is famous for two places. First one is historical temple. Other one is fort, many people even
from different states, come over here to visit these places.

Do you think your hometown is a good place for young people? (Why)?

Yes absolutely, Ha Noi is an ideal place for young people in terms of amenities such as lively bars, and
shopping malls which are completely suitable for the young. Also, there are a number of industrial zones
or office blocks surrounding it, so young graduates can easily land decent jobs.
