Topic 1: Where you live now.


1. What city do you live in?
-> Well, currently, I’m living in Hanoi with my family, the bustling capital city of Vietnam.
-> With its rich history and vibrant culture, Hanoi is a place like no other.
-> The streets are lined with ancient temples and colonial buildings, blending the old
with the new in a harmonious way.
2. Do you like this city? Why?
 Yes, obviously. Hanoi holds a special place in my heart for many reasons.
 Firstly, its rich history and cultural heritage are evident in every corner of the city.
From the ancient temples to the bustling market, Hanoi is a treasure trove of
Vietnamese traditions and customs.
 Secondly, the vibrant street food scene in Hanoi is unparalleled. The delicious pho,
banh mi, and bun cha are just a few examples of the mouth-watering dishes that can
be found on every street corner. The flavors and aromas of Hanoi’s cuisine are truly
unforgettable.

 Last but not least, the people of Hanoi are some of the friendliest and most
welcoming individuals.
2. How long have you lived in this city?
 Honestly, I have lived in Hanoi since I was born, and the city holds a special place in
my heart.
 The bustling streets, the vibrant markets, and the rich history of this ancient capital
have shaped me into the person I am today.
 From the peaceful lakes to the chaotic motorbike traffic, every aspect of Hanoi has
become a part of my identity.
3. Are there big changes in this city?
 Yes, Hanoi has seen significant changes over the years.
 From its humble beginnings as a small trading post to its current status as a bustling
metropolis, Hanoi has undergone rapid development and modernization.
 One of the most noticeable changes in Hanoi is its skyline, which is now
dominated by high-rise buildings and skyscrapers. The city’s infrastructure has
also improved, with new roads, bridges, and public transportation systems making it
easier for residents to get around.
 Additionally, Hanoi has also experienced cultural shifts. The city’s traditional markets
and street vendors are slowly being replaced by modern shopping malls and
international brands.
4. Is this city your permanent residence?
 Yes, without a doubt.
 Especially, for those who call Hanoi home, there is a sense of belonging and
connection to the city’s past and present.
 The warm hospitality of the locals, the delicious cuisine, and the laid-back
lifestyle, all contribute to making Hanoi a desirable place to live permanently.
Topic 2: Crowded places (Đề thi 17/2/24)
1. Is the city where you live crowded?
-> Yes, I’m living in Hanoi, the bustling capital of Vietnam, is indeed a crowded place.

-> With a population of over 7 million people, the streets are constantly filled with
motorbikes, cars, bicycles, and pedestrians.
2. Is there a crowded place near where you live?
-> Yes. As I’m living in the inner city, the city’s iconic landmarks such as Hoan Kiem Lake,
and the Temple of Literature attract throngs of tourists year-round, adding to the already
congested streets.
-> The narrow alleyways of the Old Quarter are packed with shops, markets, and street
vendors selling everything from traditional handicrafts to delicious street food.
3. Do you like crowded places?
-> Yes, as a young person, I find myself drawn to crowded places.
-> The hustle and bustle of a busy city street or a packed concert venue excited me in a way
that nothing else can. The energy of so many people coming together, each with their own story
and purpose, is invigorating.
-> (Or) In crowded places, I feel alive and connected to the world around me. I love the feeling
of being surrounded by others, all sharing in the same experience. It reminds me that I am not
alone in this world, but rather part of something much larger than myself.
4. Do most people like crowded places?
-> I think it depends.
-> Some people thrive in bustling environment, finding energy and excitement in the hustle and
bustle of a crowded space.
-> These individuals enjoy the sense of community and connection that comes with being
surrounded by others.
-> On the other hand, many people find crowded places overwhelming and stressful. They
prefer solitude or smaller gatherings where they can relax and unwind without feelings
suffocated by the sheer number of people around them.
-> For these individuals, crowded places can be draining and anxiety- inducing.
5. When was the last time you were in a crowded place?
-> The last time, I found myself in a crowded place was just last weekend when I attended a
music festival in the city.
-> As I navigated through the sea of people, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of both excitement
and slight unease. The energy of the crowd was palpable, with laughter and chatter filling the
air.
-> Being surrounded by so many individuals made me realize just how interconnected we all
are, despite our differences. In that moment, it felt as though we were all united by our shared
love for music and celebration.

Topic 3: Money
1. Do you prefer to save money or spend money?
-> Well, I always try to find a balance between saving and spending money in order to achieve
financial health and happiness.
-> I do believe that saving money is essential for financial security and long-term stability
such as buying a house, starting a business, or retirement.
-> While spending money on experiences, material possessions, or enjoying the present
lifestyle brings joy, fulfillment, and excitement.

-> Off the top of my head, one common method of saving money is through creating a
budget and sticking to it diligently.
-> By tracking expenses and income, I can identify areas where I can cut back and save
money.
-> Another way I save money is looking for discounts, coupons, and sales to save money
on everyday purchases.
3. What do you think about payment apps or mobile payments?
-> Well, many men many minds, I reckon that the convenience of payment apps and mobile
payments has revolutionized the way we hand handle our finances.
-> These digital platforms allow us to make purchases, transfer money, and pay bills with just
a few taps on our smartphones.
-> However, it is important to ensure that these apps are secure and that personal information
is protected when using them.

4. Do you use a credit card to buy things?


-> Personally, I don’t have habit of using credit card to buy things for some reasons.
-> First and foremost, the temptation to overspend when using a credit card, as it can be
easy to lose track of expenses and accumulate debt.
-> Besides, I am wary of sharing my personal and financial information online or with
retailers when using credit cards for transactions.
5. Do you think cash will still be popular in the future?
-> Well, honestly, it’s difficult to predict the future with certainly, but it’s possible that cash may
become less popular in the future as digital payment methods continue to advance and
become more convenient for people.
-> However, I still believe that cash is still widely used in the world, and there are certain
situations where cash may always be preferred, such as in areas with limited access to banking
services or for privacy reasons.

Topic 4: ( 24/2/2024)
Town and City
1. Which town or city do you live in?
2. Do you think you will continue to live in the area in the future? Why?

Topic 5 : Robot
1. Do you know anything about robots?
-> Yes, as far as I know, robots are machines that can be programmed to perform a variety of
task autonomously or with human guidance.
-> They are used in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, education, healthcare,
agriculture, and space exploration.
-> Robots can be controlled remotely or operate independently using sensors and
artificial intelligence.

2. Do you watch any movies that have robots when you were a child?
-> If my memory serves me right, when I were a knee high to a grasshopper, I had watched
one of my favorite films was “The Iron Giant”, a heartwarming tale about a giant robot who
befriends a young boy named Hogarth.
