B. To determine the relationships among points, lines, and planes. We define the following undefined
terms:
Point refers to the idea of an exact, fixed location. It has no size. Though not exactly, physical objects
like a tip of a pencil, the corner of a box, or a dot on a sheet of paper are models or representation of a
point.
Line is a set of infinitely many points arranged in a straight path which extends endlessly in opposite
directions. It has infinite length but no width nor thickness. Though not exactly, a tightly stretched
string, the edge of a table, and a crease of a folded paper are physical models of lines.
Plane is a flat surface that extends endlessly in all directions. It has infinite length and width but no
thickness. Though not exactly, a piece of paper, the surface of a floor, and an artist’s canvass are
physical models of plane.

A right angle is an angle whose measure is exactly 90 0.
