Environmental policy
M/S CHAITHANYA ELECTRICAL WORKS recognises Turing the
environment has its Prime responsibility for long-term sustainability in
and across the areas of operation and maintenance.
1. Minimization of wastes and developing new grades of Steel with low
environment impact.
2. Continual evaluation of environmental impact of its operations and
adoption of appropriate Technologies and practices to mitigate
adverse effects.
3. Effective implementation of environment management system for
confinual improvements.
4. Enhancing awareness skills and competencies amongst its
employees.associates, suppliers and community to create an eco
friendly society.
5. Environmental conversation initiatives and preservation of
biodiversity around the areas of our operation.

All staff have their HS & IM training needs identified following
inductions.

training requirements

and deaths occur because of worker committing an unsafe act or violating
safety procedures. in these cases, the supervisor may also be held liable
because effective precaution weren’t taken or safety policies were not
enforced.

The use of safety goggles when using Circular saw, grinder, table saws,
radial arm saws, Jack hammers, power actuated tools, etc.

ACCIDENT/INCIDENT REPORTING SYSTEM
SCOPE:
Accident involving Laurier staff faculty, students, visitors and contractor
must be reported as per this procedure regardless of the severity of the
accident.

Results in substantial loss of blood.

A minor injury that does not require first aid or health care
SAFE WORK METHODS
A. Does your organization have and follow safe work procedures for the
followings.
1. Fall protection
The person who is working above 1.6 Mrs should ensure proper usage
of safety belts, maintaining the work area clean, neat and in orderly
manner. Oil soaked/ grease/ oil mixed cotton to be placed in separate
dustbin. Never leave oily on live equipment machineries.
2. Scaffolding/ Working platform : Not applicable
3. Floor/wall roof openings guards : Not applicable
4. Mobile equipment safety : Not Applicable
5. House keeping
Maintain the working are clean & orderly placed garbage is to be
placed in proper contained
Metallic’s scrappers are to be placed in a separate dust bins.
Oil soaked/ grease oil mixed cotton to be placed in a separate dust bin.
Keep aside and passage – ways clear of obstructions.
Floors must be maintained clean and in good conditions.
Never leave tools in a position where they could fall and injure
someone after completion of work.
6. Injury treatment procedures
All incidents including near miss incident, dangerous,occurrence,fire
incident total etc., shall be reported to concerned JSW Steel officers
and safety & FS immediately.
First ear treatment to be given to the victim by the first aiders at the
working site immediately. Injured person shall be brought to the
Jindal Sanjivini Hospital(JSH) for further medical treatment of
necessary.
The accident on the plant will attract the provisions of the factory
rules and thus become. Medico legal cases. In view of this, every
injured person (reportable cases) has to be sent to the Vijayanagara
Institute of Medical Science, Bellary for treatment and complete the
Medico legal formalities.
