1. What is the difference between relative humidity and percent saturation?

ratio of saturated moist air at the same pressure and temperature (sidhimbro, n.d.).
2. What is meant by the term adiabatic?
- It is a process in thermodynamics where heat is neither gained nor lost when transferring
energy.
3. What are desiccants?
- Desiccants are materials that help an object to stay dry.
4. In air-conditioning, what is the difference between a fan-coiled unit (FCU) and an air-
handling unit (AHU)?
- A Fan-coiled unit is a system that circulates air in a small area or space while the Air-
handling unit is a system that uses ducts in order to distribute cool air (AirFixture, 2019).
5. In air-conditioning, how are two or more streams of air are mixed?
- In air-conditioning, two or more streams of air are mixed by the use of a process called
an adiabatic process which is a process where energy is transferred without gaining or
losing heat.
