OBJECTIVE
JOB SATISFACTION is an individual’s general attitude towards his or
her job. Job satisfaction is a Positive feeling about one’s job resulting
from an evaluation of its characteristics. In other words, Satisfied

5
employees hold positive feelings about their job and dissatisfied
employees hold negative feelings about their job.

The two most widely used approaches are –

 A Single Global Rating Method

 A Summation Score Method

A Single Global Rating Method is asking individuals to respond to 1

question such as, “All things considered, how satisfied are you with
your job?”

A Summation Score Method is more sophisticated. It identifies key

elements in a job & asks for the employee’s feelings about each typical
factors & then these are rated on a Standardized Scale & added up to
create an overall job satisfaction score.

Largely, the Impact of Job Satisfaction on Employee’s Performance

affects the following –
 Employee Productivity
 Absenteeism
 Turnover

With this project, I have learnt the attitude of employees towards

their job & their way of expressing dissatisfaction by using
“SUMMATION SCORE METHOD”

The QUESTIONNAIRE used for the survey is as follows -

RECOMMENDATIONS

1. The company should give proper timely reward to their employees.

with work.

3. Targets should be more achievable so that stress levels can be

reduced among employees which will result in better job

satisfaction.

4. Since few employees are still not optimistic about the future with

the company they should be made permanent or personal

22
counseling should be provided and should try to find out the

reason.
