The Art Club

Is meant to provide creative and artistic opportunities after school. Art Club
members participate in individual, school-wide, and community based art
projects, which will increase each student’s confidence as well as help,
develop a sense of school and community pride. Students will be building
leadership, teamwork, social skills, building self-esteem, and critical
thinking skills, which will help students not only in the art club but when
they continue their education in post education atmosphere.

Article I. Club Name

The name of the club is ART CLUB, hereafter referred to as the club.

Article II. Purpose of the Club

I. Increase awareness in the various mediums and techniques that the


world of visual arts offers.

II. Provide a positive forum in which students can be creative, innovative,


and collaborative with the development and creation of their artwork.

III. Provide a collaborative environment between artists in the community,


other schools, and other students to foster more peer-to-peer
learning and engagement.

IV. Promote through school art requests (murals, signs, etc.), and the
promotion of various art shows TNHS students take part in.

V. Enhance student knowledge by providing workshops (given by the


students or teacher), or activities centered on the creation of art.

Article III. Membership

I. Membership is open to any currently enrolled Tiaong National High


School student.

Article VI. Faculty Moderator/adviser

I. There must be a faculty Moderator/adviser

II. A sponsor must be present at all club meetings.

III. A sponsor will be responsible for supervising elections and maintaining


order within the club.

IV. A sponsor will work closely with the club members and community
members in business matters of the club, including maintenance
of the club group site, laboratory.

Article IX. Meetings


I. General meetings will be held Every 2nd Wednesday of the month. From
3:00 - 4.30pm. This may change do to some projects, holidays and
school events.

After that time, the teacher will no longer be responsible for their safety,
and they will not be allowed to stay in the school building.

II. At least one sponsor is required to attend each meeting.

Article X. Activities

I. Competitions and Exhibitions

II. Workshops performed by other artist in the community or working with


other programs

III. Requested artwork by other staff or clubs with the


building/community.

IV. Art Club will provide the student with opportunities to increase their
artistic skills and creativity as well as involved them in a worthwhile school
activity.

VI. We will participate in individual, school-wide, and community project,


which will increase each student’s confidence as well as help, develop a
sense of school and community pride.

Article XII. Code of Ethics

I. All members will adhere to the Tiaong National High School Activity
Code of Conduct.

II. The club shall operate under current school policy.

Article XIII. Changes to Bylaws

I. Articles in this set of by laws may be deleted or modified as deemed


necessary by a majority of the club and sponsors.

II. Changes to the bylaws will be done as amendments.

The Club officer positions and their respective Duties and


Responsibilities
Each of the officers in a ART club has certain responsibilities to fulfill in supporting
the club and its members. There are several officer positions within each club
both to spread the workload fairly and to expand the leadership opportunities for
club members.

Filling an officer role does not mean that you are required to do the job alone.
Being an officer simply means that you are responsible for ensuring that the job
gets done. As an officer, you are allowed - indeed, encouraged - to ask other
members of the club to help you fulfill your duties. Club election held each
curriculum year.

Preparing to Be a Club Officer

One of the most important things to do in preparing for a club officer position is
to attend one of the Club Officer Training sessions sponsored by the School or
Club adviser. (In fact, attending these sessions is one of the goals for helping make
your club a Distinguished Club.) Please make every effort to attend training so you
can receive the support you need to better serve your club.

Club Executive Team

Collectively, a club's officers are referred to as the club's Executive Team. The club
officer positions and their respective responsibilities are listed below:

President

Sergeant at Arms/PRO/Club Ambassador/PIO/Representative


President

The President is the chief executive officer for the club. The primary
responsibilities of this role involve the general supervision and operation of the
club.

The President presides at club meetings and directs the club in meeting the
members' needs for educational growth and leadership. In cooperation with the
other officers, the President establishes long-term and short-term goals for the
club.

In addition to his or her club role, the President helps each club member provide
a positive and supportive learning environment in which every member has the
opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills. Additionally, the
keep clubs focused and on track to achieve goals.

Vice President Education

The Vice President manages all educational programs within the club. The primary
responsibilities of this role involve ensuring that all members continue their
progress toward their own individual educational goals.

The VP plans, organizes, and implements meeting schedules to include speeches,


educational modules, and other events sufficient to meet both individual and club
objectives. When members complete a speech or other major achievement, the
VPE will sign or initial the appropriate documentation. New members will receive
orientation and be assigned a mentor by the VPE.

The Vice President manages the creation and maintenance of the club's image.
The primary responsibilities of this role involve both internal and external
communications.
The VP plans, organizes, and implements programs to maintain the positive image
of the club, audience consisting of guests, members and the general TNHSians.
Common activities in this role include press releases, publicity campaigns, website
maintenance, media representation, and club newsletters.

Secretary

The Secretary manages all record-keeping and correspondence. The primary


responsibilities of this role involve handling administrative details between the
club and club's documents available and up-to-date.

The Secretary maintains the club's records, including club by-laws and the club
constitution. Additionally, the Secretary handles and maintains new member
applications, updated membership records, supply orders, officer lists, and past
club records. The Secretary also records and reads the minutes for club meetings
and for meetings of the Executive Team.

Coordination

Treasurer

The Treasurer manages the club's financial health. The primary responsibilities of
this role involve handling the club's finances. The Treasurer receives and disburses
funds to further the operation of the club and its officers. All club accounts are
managed by this office.

Sergeant at Arms and Peace Officer at Public Information Officer/Ambassador

Manages the club's meeting facilities and decorum. The primary responsibilities of
this role involve all those tasks expected of the host of the meeting. Arranges the
room and setup for all meetings, sets out and cares for the club's materials and
supplies, and greets members - and especially guests - as they come in the
Meeting.

Members

The Jar head of the club…the club promise and main priority is to guide and enrich
their jar which represents their mind and heart to be filled or add with
knowledge, character and skills aligned to our vision and mission. Students taking
up the course Illustration under grade 9 and grade 10 are automatically

MISSION STATEMENT:

To foster appreciation of art and artistic growth through exhibitions and


educational opportunities for its members. To extend cultural enrichment to the
community at large by exhibiting our artists' works at public locations in various
venues around the municipality of Guiguinto to the Province of Bulacan to stress
the value and importance of art in the world. To offer art skill and opportunities
to students who wish to study art. To encourage and support both appreciation
and creation of fine art.

VISION STATEMENT:
Our vision is for the TNHS Art Club to be the voice and the representative of the
visual arts and artists of our School and community, and to be a beacon of Artistic
endeavor for the Municipality of Beloved Guiguinto. We will strive to do this by
both continuing our existing programs and by strengthening our ties to our
growing artistic community. We will continue our established programs as we
seek to expand on them.
