FLUID MECHANICS LAB (ASP-205)

At first as the length of the diameter of the pipe increases, piezometric line decreases, again the
length of the diameter of the pipe increases and so the piezometric line.

In head line, as the diameter of pipe increases the head line decreases slightly (a little) and again
diameter of the pipe increase and so, the head line increases slightly (a little).

Learning outcomes

1. We learn about the calculation of the piezometric and dynamic heads.

2. We learn about the Bernoulli’s diagram for narrowing and expansion of the flow

3. We learn that in a viscous fluid the total specific energy along the flow is constantly decreasing
due to losses in overcoming the resistance.

Sources of error:

1. Be careful while taking readings on piezometric line and head line.

2. Ensure that the virtual lab software is working on our device.
