Authentication at TCS

What is this change?

The authentication to Ultimatix, Webmail and VPN

will soon be only through the Ultimatix authenticator
App. You will need to key in the code displayed on
the Ultimatix Authenticator App to gain access to
Ultimatix, Webmail and TCS VPN. Passwords will no
longer be used to login to these apps.

Why are we doing this?

Password based authentication is a known weak link

in the security chain. Leaked or stolen passwords
are used by attackers to gain access to enterprise
application and resources, leading to loss of
business-critical data as well as loss of reputation.

While the entire industry is slowly shifting to non

persistent credentials (like OTP), TCS too will be
changing the way we authenticate on our
applications.

What should I do now?

Download the Ultimatix Authenticator App from

UxApps. If you don't have UxApps you may
download the same from
https://uxapps.ultimatix.net. After you download the
Ultimatix Authenticator App, you can use the 6 digit
code displayed in the app to login to TCS Enterprise
applications.

While Ultimatix Authenticator App is the

recommended login method, we do understand
there are a few associates who cannot
access/possess a device ,which can support the
Ultimatix Authenticator App. For example,

Usage of smart phone is not allowed in Agile

Development Centers

User does not possess a smart phone on which

Ultimatix Authenticator App can be installed

The alternate options are

RSA Software Tokencode [ on Windows and MAC

desktop / Laptop ]

To be used by

Associates who can use Ultimatix

Authenticator App outside TCS, but usage of
smart phone is not allowed in TCS ADC / ODC's

Associates who do not posses a device which

can support the Ultimatix Authenticator App, but
have a company provided machine and RSA
Software Token can be installed.

RSA Hardware Tokencode with device

To be used by

ADC / ODC's where smart phone is not

allowed and RSA software token can NOT be
installed on company provided machine within
the ADC / ODC,

Associates who work on customer standard

operating environment (SOE) & does not have
company provided machine

Note: Associates selecting for RSA Token will

be charged back onto their respective project
WON / SWON.

So please choose one of the following options to

indicate to us, how you will authenticate in the new
world.

The chosen option will be reviewed by Local IS &

your project supervisor.

Now, go ahead and choose the way you would

authenticate:

I will use Ultimatix Authenticator app on my

mobile device
I will use RSA Software Tokencode

I will need a RSA Hardware Tokencode device

What happens next?

If you are using Ultimatix Authenticator App, you
may use the 6-digit code displayed in the app to
login to TCS Enterprise applications.

If you have chosen RSA method, the chosen option

we will be reviewed by the Local IS & your project
supervisor. In case you have opted for RSA software
or hardware Token, Please connect with location IS
