1. Do a research about the difference between non- ferrous and ferrous metals.

FERROUS METALS
- Any metal containing iron is referred to as ferrous metal. Ferrous metals are magnetic, strong, and hard due
to their iron content. As a result, these materials are often utilized in the construction of dwellings, large-scale
pipes, industrial containers, and other construction and engineering applications.
- Ferrous metals also have a high carbon content, which turns them rusty when exposed to moisture. There are
two exceptions: stainless steel, which has a high amount of chromium, and wrought iron, which contains a
large amount of pure iron.
- As these metals are usually strong and durable, they can be used in construction and engineering. Ferrous
metals are found in large structures, such as skyscrapers and bridges. Additionally, ferrous metals can be
found in shipping containers, industrial piping, cars, railroad tracks, and domestic tools.

NON-FERROUS METALS
- Non-ferrous metals are metals that do not contain iron. These alloys, unlike ferrous metals, are pliable and
lighter, making them especially useful when strength must meet weight constraints, such as in the aircraft
sector. The substance has particular qualities, which are generally pure metals or alloys without any iron. They
are largely non-magnetic in terms of magnetic characteristics.
- Aside from nonferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, lead, zinc, and tin, precious metals such as gold and
silver are also included and utilized for aesthetic purposes. Non-ferrous metals lack iron, making them more
resistant to corrosion and rust, making them ideal for plumbing, gutters, roofs, outdoor signage, and roofing.
They are important for electrical and wiring applications because they are non-magnetic.

FERROUS METALS NON FERROUS METALS

This belongs to Ferrous metal because, it contains metal. The main Non-Ferrous metals are just the opposite of ferrous metals, as they do
properties of ferrous metals are that they get attracted to magnet not contain any amount of iron. Due to absence of iron, they do not
and also possess little resistance to corrosion. It includes mild steel, possess magnetic properties. They tend to be more resistant to
carbon steel, cast iron, wrought iron, etc. corrosion than in comparison to ferrous metals.
