Task 4. PERFORMANCE TASK: Dig your Diamonds

Issue or concern: Bullying

Background:

According to the National Center for Educational Statistics (2013), 1 in 3 children (27.8%) report
being bullied during the school year. Bullying is reported to be more prevalent among boys than girls. It
occurs with greater frequency among middle school children. For boys, both physical and verbal bullying
is common, whereas, for girls, verbal bullying and rumors are more common.

In our school, bullying is the most prevalent problems that are inevitable on our campus.

Let victims of bullying who suffered alone and in silence, to know that they’re not alone.

Campaign: “Not Alone, Silent No More.”

Objective: To ensure the students, especially the victims of bullying that they can learn in a supportive,
caring, and safe environment without fear of being bullied.

Plan of Action:

o The campaign shall be introduced to students during the students’ assembly and other
social media platforms.

o The proponent shall be the one to discuss about the campaign and how is it going to be
implemented.

o Dedicate class time to empowering students in bullying awareness and skills in


prevention.

o Teachers, especially advisers shall increase active teacher inside the classroom where
bullying occurs.
