1. Reaction on the statements regarding the implications to campus journalism.

The legal basis of campus journalism was designed to safeguard the freedom of every
journalist writer. For instance, Republic Act No. 7079 primarily stated on its sections the
provisions a campus journalists could profit from. In section 2 stated that the law is conducive to
the development and growth of the campus journalism. Now, from the review on the statements
and its implications to campus journalism, it elucidates the possible shortcomings of the law,
particularly on the stated provisions, that may possibly or possibly did affect the campus
journalists directly. To refer specifically, the implications of the law was examined generally on
sections 5 and 8.
My inclusion about the implications of the statements to the campus journalism is that, in
order to certainly produce a quality campus paper is to fully fund the student publication. In
addition to that, for a campus journalists to fully exercise their abilities and journalistic skills,
there must be a priority of funding to a worth-the-price materials, equipment, and such tools like
high quality paper and fast or secured computer. Plus, a modern-experienced or relaxing
atmosphere like an office with cozy environment vibe would be very encouraging to a student
journalist to feel confident and determined. Conversely, to also fully undertake the provisions of
providing various programs and projects aimed to improve the skills of the student journalists, is
to hold more press conferences and training seminars for a particular reason that the kind of
events like those would be very helpful to train the skills of every student journalists at any
campus level. In general, I cheerfully recommend to the extent of filling in the identified gaps of
the law, to generate a revision in some particular details on the sections supposing to promote a
more promising campus journalism paper and functional publication.
