FILM- a motion picture made for aesthetic reasons rather than commercial profit.
VISUAL ARTS- Are art forms that create works that are primarily visual in nature, such as
ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, film
making and architecture.
LITERATURE- written after World War II through the current day. ... The horrors of the war,
including bombs, ground wars, genocide and corruption, are the pathways to this type of
literature. It is from these real-life themes that we find the beginning of a new period of writing.
MUSIC- refers to compositions that have adopted ideas and elements from twentieth century
art music in the West, as well as the latest trends and musical styles in the entertainment
industry.
THEATER- an art concerned almost exclusively with live performances in which the action is
precisely planned to create a coherent and significant sense of drama.
DANCE- is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres
including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the
mind and the body through fluid dance movements
ARCHITECTURE- the classical period of the Philippines is based on vernacular architecture for
most of its centuries and Islamic architecture in some coastal areas at the south, plus the
interior of Lanao, after the 13th century. The bahay kubo is the term for huts built out of nipa.
