Fashion Designer

A career in fashion is vital because it provides diverse and creative pieces to everyday necessities. This allows others to personalize their wardrobe in a

way that suits their preferred image. The growth of this career is seemingly inexorable due to the everyday demand for clothing, one of the basic necessities of living.

In order to succeed in this field, you must demonstrate persistence, know how to sketch detailed models, identify your demographic, and implement your designs. A

minimum of two years in college is required to enter this field.

One of a myriad of skills that are needed is creative and artistic ability. You must have a proficient understanding of how to sketch detailed models.

Presenting a sense of originality is essential in any creative field. Another skill needed is identifying your demographic. This allows you to find your targeted audience

and what would better complement your ideas. The next skill needed is the ability to implement your designs. To bring forth your ideas into existence, you must know

how to confer with sales and management executives about your proposal. Lastly, you must demonstrate persistence. Perseverance is required in any career.

A minimum of two years is needed for this career. You have the option of pursuing a bachelor’s or associate’s degree. The required majors would be

marketing and design. There are many opportunities for aspiring designers such as myself within my city and overall state. Schools such as San Diego State University,

Sew Inspired, Southern States University, and FIDM. My salary would start at a median or average of $67,420 per year in California. Other states would provide an

average less than my state, such as in New Mexico, it would amount to $57,160 per year. Another example is Florida would amount to $48,720 per year. Few states

offer more than California, such as Oregon and New York starting at an average between $70,020-$78,770.

Jobs that are similar to this field mainly pertain to the entertainment industry. Careers such as stage directors, editors, fine artists, and graphic designers.

These careers share similar aspects in terms of creativity and presentation. They differ due to focusing on their fields. Some may lean towards video and movie

production, whereas others towards design and artistic expression through sculptures and paintings.

Predominantly, fashion is a career that requires much time and energy. This field challenges one's creative and artistic ability as well as productivity. To

obtain a minimum of a two-year education and implement your proposals. Fashion is beneficial to everyone and their expression. This career seems to be a perfect fit

for me because I possess all skills needed. This suits my preferred working method, allowing me to have unlimited creative input.
