Mercury aka quicksilver - (Hg)

Liquid metal
Atomic number-80
Atomic mass -200.59 u
Melting point - ( -38.83° C )
Boiling point - 356.7° C

-Mercury is mainly used in thermometers and is a good conductor of electricity.

Mercury is often picked over most liquids because its high density requires less
space. Mercury is also used in dental fillings, paints, soaps, batteries, and
fluorescent lighting.

Physical properties
-Mercury is the only element located in the metals group that stands as a liquid at
room temperature. Because of this, mercury also has the lowest melting, boiling,
and freezing point of any stable metal. When frozen, mercury is also so malleable
that it can be cut with a knife.

Chemical properties
Mercury has a high vapor pressure and the lowest vaporization point of any metal.
When vaporized, it becomes a colorless, odorless gas. Fair conductor of electricity,
but a poor conductor of heat.

Where can mercury be found?

Mercury is a naturally-occurring chemical element found in rock in the
earth's crust, including in deposits of coal. Mercury is rarely found in nature
as a pure, liquid metal. Mercury is mined as a mercuric sulfide. The metallic
form is refined from mercuric sulfide ore by heating the ore to temperatures
above 540º C. This vaporizes the mercury in the ore, and the vapors are then
captured and cooled to form the liquid metal mercury.
Interesting facts about Mercury

(1)Mercury is one of the most toxic and poisonous substances. Even Inhaling
Mercury vapor can cause Mercury poisoning which creates harmful effects
on the lungs and kidneys.
(2)Mercury is one of a few metals that is metal at room temperature.
(3) Mercury is used for creating liquid mirrors.

Helium (He)

-Noble gas
-Atomic number - 2
-Atomic mass - 4.002602
-Boiling point - (-268.9° C) (Lowest among all elements)
-Melting point - None

-Helium is used in weather balloons and party balloons. Helium is also used
to detect leaks, such as car air-conditioning systems, microscopes,
electronics, Airbags, Cleaning rocket fuel tanks.

Helium properties

Helium is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic gas. It's less soluble in
water than any other gas.

Chemical properties
The density of Helium is very low. Helium can be liquefied, but its
condensation temperature is the lowest among all the known substances.
Unique properties -Low boiling point, low density, low solubility, high thermal
conductivity, and inertness.

Where is helium found in?

Helium occurs in Earth's atmosphere only to the extent of 1 part in 200,000
(0.0005 percent) and small amounts occur in radioactive minerals, meteoric
iron, and mineral springs. Helium cannot be produced and must be extracted
from natural gas well although it’s the second most abundant in the
universe.

Interesting facts about Helium

-Helium is the second lightest element, has the lowest boiling point, low
density
- Our sun produces 700 million tons of helium per second.
-Helium is unreactive, it’s a safe non-flammable gas.
