PUBLIC NARRATIVE

BWC ACTIVATED.

This statement of fact is based on my best recollection without having the legal authorization to review any associated BWC footage
to assist in writing this statement.

On the listed date and time MPD members were dispatched to the listed location for Armed carjacking call for service. Upon arrival
on the scene MPD members interviewed V-1. V-1 reports that him and his family just came home from family picnic. V-1 also reports
that he saw unknown S-1, S-2, and S-3 approaching his driver side car. V-1 also reports that the unknown suspects demanded his car
keys. V-1 also reports that he chased S-1 in 5100 block of 12th St NE while S-2 and S-3 were next to V-1's car. V-1 then reports that he
went back near his car after seeing S-1 regrouping with the other two suspects. V-1 also reports that S-1 pulled a gun and pistol
whipped him on the upper left eye socket causing injury to V-1's face.

O-1 reports that she was with V-1, O-2 and O-3 in the car and they all just came from a family picnic. O-1 also reports that when they
made it home she got out of the car and went to the back of the car to get her kids belongings and that's when she saw S-1, S-2 and S-
3 approach her husband and demand the car keys. O-1 also reports that she told the suspects that her kids are still in the back seat. O-
1 then reports she managed to get her kids out of the car and that's when the suspects hit her husband and fled the scene heading
northbound on the 5100 block of 12th St NE.

On 4/10/2022 at approximately 1220 hours Officers recovered the listed vehicle in the 1700 Block of 14th St SE. Witness provided
video footage of V1's vehicle entering the block then striking several vehicles. The driver and two occupants exited the vehicle then
fled the location without making their identity known.

Officers made contact with V1 and made him aware of the vehicle's whereabouts.
 CSU41 on scene.
