▪ Led a team of teachers through 90-Day improvement “Plan-Do-
Study-Act” cycles designed to increase student performance on math
word problem items:
o Cycle 1: Reduce the variation in the administration of
performance tasks in math classrooms
o Cycle 2: Develop tools to better audit student use of word
problem strategies. Development of the MPES Math Word
Problem Wheel.
▪ Assisted School Testing Coordinator in planning logistics for the fall
and winter Virginia Growth Assessments including organizing google
suite and creating staff communication documents, assignments, and
class rosters to ensure appropriate ESOL & SPED accommodations.
▪ Designed professional learning to communicate the policy and
resources involved in the identification and support of students
experiencing homelessness under the McKinney-Vento Act.
▪ Superintendent Advisory Council school representative responsible for
gathering staff feedback and communicating needs effectively in
monthly meetings with building and division-level administrators.

▪ Project U.P. (Unlocking Student Potential) is a multi-day, career-
focused learning experience for elementary students.
▪ Founding member of program development.
▪ Developed scaffolded course catalog & curriculum focused on career-
readiness, durable skills, student choice and the 5Cs for grades 3-5.
▪ Revamped program in response to COVID environment by developing
“Project UP Virtual Edition”. Created universally designed grade-level
PBL choice boards integrated through Canvas LMS to provide students
with platforms to publish their work with peers, teachers and local
business owners.
▪ Other administrative duties: develop career fair, staff schedules &
student rosters; organize field trip permission slips, payments, staff
supply orders and distribution; outreach to local community members;
marketing and more.
