INSTRUCTIONAL COACH PROFESSIONAL LEARNING CALENDAR - 2021-2022

AUDIENCE: Culturally Responsive Instructional (CRP) Coach & Engagement Specialist at Cold Springs Middle School
RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING PL PLAN: Executive Director of Teaching & Learning, CCSD.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW & GOALS: This calendar serves to provide our instructional coaches with continuous professional learning in order to…
● Orient the coach to the CCSD routines, policies, and values
● Orient the coach with site-based routines, policies, and values
● Set position expectations and checkpoints
● Learn about the learners and community in CCSD
● Establish & encourage cross-site collaboration through the development of the instructional team cohort
● Ensure instructional coaches are paired with an experienced mentor
● Gain the necessary skills in becoming acclimated to professional learning standards in order to fulfill meeting standards while planning and
implementing PL on-site.
● Gain the necessary skills in understanding change theory in order to evaluate the effectiveness of professional learning
● Engage in continuous program monitoring and self-reflection to determine the effectiveness of PL

AT-A-GLANCE:
ORANGE = Pathwise: Site-Based Induction with fellow new Cold Springs MS staff. CRP Coach attends each session. While some sessions may not directly
correlate to job responsibilities, it is necessary that the coach has a strong understanding of what teachers are responsible for at CSMS and what PL they
are receiving from Pathwise. The coach will also be in attendance to build relationships with new teachers and monitor their readiness to support as
needed.
Green = Mentor/Mentee training or discussion, mentor will be an instructional coach within CCSD, may not be guaranteed as a CRP Coach
Blue= meeting with CSMS admin team or representative
Purple= Culver County SD Instructional Team Cohort, meeting location rotates between different schools in order to observe greater cohesion in division
instruction.
Pink = Targeted Focus training topic to be conducted by CRP Coach with staff
Yellow = Independent PL (conference, virtual webinars, Canvas courses, etc). In addition to the PL sessions listed below, the CRP Instructional Coach is
encouraged to seek out additional professional learning opportunities by completing and submitting the PL Request Form and submitting to the Executive
Director of Teaching & Learning. This can include paid conferences, webinars, and courses relating to culturally responsive teaching practices and family
engagement.
