Module 3: Imaging and Design for the Online Environment

Objectives:

Independently apply the techniques of image manipulation and graphic design to create original
or derivative ICT content from existing images, text and graphic elements for use in specific
professional tracks.
o Use image manipulation techniques on existing images to change or enhance their
current state to communicate a message for a specific purpose.
o Create an original or derivative ICT content to effectively communicate a visual message
in an online environment related to specific professional tracks.
Individual Activity 3.1 : Evaluating Designs
Objective:
To be able to evaluate existing graphics and layouts based on the principles of layout, graphic and visual
message design.
Instructions:
Evaluate each design and distinguish if it is a good or a bad design. Justify your answer by
determining which principle of design is applied or is violated, provide a brief explanation. It is
possible that in some designs more than one (1) principle is applied or violated.

Answer: For me, its simple and its not destructive. And also
it is beautiful to look at..
2. Infographic

Answer: This photo is organize well, I think they made this

to understand and also give us information.
3. Magazine

Answer: For me, it is not good in the eyes of others because

we should use the same fonts to look better. And the
pictures should also be well arranged.

Answer: This photo is neat, artistic, and clean looking and
less painful to the eyes. But we can also increase the style
to make it more beautiful.
5. Flyer

Answer: For me, it should be artistic because it is

masquarade which should be colorful, yes clean look but
lack design so.

Answer: For me it is just fine, because if we look at it is well

arranged, it does not look messy and we can understand it
well.
7. Magazine Layout

Answer: Fonts are good but if we look closely we seem to be

confused when read, and in the pictures we should know if it
will be good in the eyes of others.
8. Poster

Answer: For me it is neat and simple to look at. and even if it

is not very colorful we can see how clean and uncluttered.
