PROBLEM
The existing 270-1768 Head End Check Valve can cause a hydraulic noise
on certain 950H, 962H, 966H, and 972H Wheel Loaders and IT62H
Integrated Toolcarriers that are equipped with ride control. The noise
occurs for less than 2 seconds in duration and is generated from an
instability when there is a pressure spike in the head end of the lift
cylinders. The noise occurs when the ride control function is inactive
and the noise emanates from the ride control accumulator.

Replace the existing 270-1768 Head End Check Valve with a 343-3302 Head
End Check Valve. Install the 343-3302 Head End Check Valve and tighten
to a torque of 150 +/- 8 Nm (110 +/- 6 ft-lbs).

Image 1 shows the location of the 270-1768 Head End Check Valve on the
ride control section.
