To Whom It May Concern:

Cadence Litt was an intern in my first grade classroom from September 2021-May 2022. She
moved with ease from a supporting role to successfully taking on full teaching responsibilities. She
navigated in-person, and at times virtual, teaching with ease and open mindedness. Cadence
absorbed feedback quickly and was able to tangibly adapt what she had learned to her own
practice. This work ethic and growth continued even while transitioning sporadically in and out of
teaching in a virtual model. She made this transition look effortless, and the students really
responded positively because of it. Cadence planned and implemented an excellent Social Studies
unit where she was able to unify the class around celebrating Black History Month. Student were
enthralled in learning about historical figures and exploring how our history as a nation has evolved
over time. It was absolutely incredible!
Cadence’s strong organizational skills are apparent in the preparation and presentation of her
lessons. She has a natural ability to capture and maintain student interest during instruction. She is
comfortable initiating her own creative techniques and ideas as well.
The knack to clearly communicate her expectations to students has helped Cadence to
maintain a safe, positive and respectful classroom environment. She has also demonstrated the
ability to recognize and respond to the many diverse needs within the classroom. Patience, high
expectations, and consistency (along with a strong and positive attitude!) come to mind when
observing Cadence’s management style. Her rapport with students is wonderful and it is clear she
truly cares about her students.
Cadence has demonstrated dedication, responsibility, enthusiasm, and the marvelous skill of
working as a team player, and it is clear she cares about the growth of her students. Her interactions
with students, staff members, and parents alike have been cooperative and gracious.
Based upon Cadence’s performance throughout her assignment in our classroom, I feel that
Cadence Litt has, without a doubt, demonstrated exceptional potential as a classroom teacher. It is
without reservation that I recommend her to the teaching profession.

Most sincerely,
Mary Chatigny
