Retailers satisfaction, a term frequently used in marketing, is a measure of
how products and services supplied by a company meet or surpass retailer
expectation. retailer satisfaction is defined as "the number of retailer, or
percentage of total retailer, whose reported experience with a firm, its
products, or its services (ratings) exceeds specified satisfaction goals." It is
seen as a key performance indicator within business and is often part of a
Balanced Scorecard. In a competitive marketplace where businesses compete
for customers, customer satisfaction is seen as a key differentiator and
increasingly has become a key element of business strategy. "Within
organizations, customer satisfaction ratings can have powerful effects. They
focus employees on the importance of fulfilling customers‘ expectations.
Furthermore, when these ratings dip, they warn of problems that can affect
sales and profitability. These metrics quantify an important dynamic. When a
brand has loyal customers, it gains positive word-of-mouth marketing, which
is both free and highly effective." Therefore, it is essential for businesses to
effectively manage customer satisfaction
COMPANY PROFILE
Vinayak Electricals is manufacturing electrical products since 1997.
Vinayak Electricals is manufacturing various electrical products like
modular switches, general switches and industrial products like
Electrical Switch, Indicator Switches, Multi Plug, all types of L.E.D.
products, fitting and fixtures, MCB'S and various electrical
accessories. Our Products are designed elegantly under extra ordinary
manufacturing facilities with the most innovative and latest
technology. One unique feature of Vinayakelectricals is that all our
product are manufacture under one roof. We trade the products with
the brand names of V-Five, Viza, Kemp's,Viyona. We are using screw
less Technology and superior quality brass part with Bi-metallic rivets
company. Process them in an Automatic riveting machine. And what
we have is a range of double plates, switches, sockets and
accessories that are a class apart. We work beneath the guidance of
our well-informed CEO Mr.Pravin L. Bambhaniya who has an
outstanding understanding of client’s needs and provisions. Our
mentor has years of understanding of this arena.

OBJECTIVES OF STUDY

product of VinayakElectrical .

• To examine the satisfaction of


retailers about Vinayak
Electrical
The sample size for this project is 60 respondents. All
respondents were the Retailers of VINAYAK ELECTRICALS

DATA Collection Methods For the study purpose both Primary


data and Secondary data are used.

PRIMARY DATA The primary data collected from retailers of the


company. Primary data is collected through structured
questionnaire.

SECONDARY DATA Secondary data in this research work were


collected from books, magazines, and Internet website and other
online sources which contribute to the quantitative data as well as
qualitative data. The information compiled from these sources will
ensure a clear understanding of this project. Thus, a combined
approach of both primary and secondary data has been used in
this extensive research.

INTERPRETATION:Majority of the no. of respondents


disagree about the satisfication with the packaging of products
FINDINGS
•Retailers agreed that products are ISI marked and they
are satisfied with products quality and the mean (4.25)
proves it.
• Company does not provide incentive to retailers
which sometimes discourage them and cause
dissatisfaction in them and the mean (2.35) justified it.
•Price paid for the products is totally justified and the
mean (3.73) proves it.
•Retailer are not satisfied with after sales service as
different product are not easily returned and we have
the mean(2.23) to prove it.
•Discount scheme adopted by the company makes the customer
satisfied and the mean (3.93) proves it.
•Most of the retailers usually prefer to purchase products on
credit and does not prefer instant cash payment and we have the
mean (3.63) to prove it.
•V-5 products has big brand name in the market and our mean
(4.13) to justifies it.
• Product provides safety from various hazard’s like shock
etc.and makes its users satisfy this can be proved by the mean
(3.95).
•It is evident from the calculated i.e. mean (3.58) that the
innovation used by the company is satisfactory.
•A company needs to change the packaging of the products as
retailers are not satisfied by it ,this is evident from the mean
i.e.(2.03).
RECOMMENDATION & SUGGESTIONS
1) More local/ regional advertisements should be there to make
people aware aboutVinayak and its products.
2) Product catalogues and price lists should be provided to the
Retailers on regular basis.
3) There is need in improvement of quality of V-5 range so that it
decreases the rate of replacement.
4) Company should improve its grievance handling system
CONCLUSION
After the research it can be concluded that retailers are quite satisfied
with the products of the Vinayak Electricals and consider it as a trusted
dealer. Valid price, discountscheme, creditfacilities, innovation and
brand name are some of the positive factors which affect the
satisfaction level of retailers towards the products of company. But
there are still some factors like giving incentives, transportation charges
and weak packaging creates a sense of dissatisfaction among the
retailers. In order to promote retailer satisfaction, it is inevitable for
company to give due emphasis to all the above-mentioned factors.
In closing, the researcher would like to add that a proactive, friendly
and creative approach by company will help to improve the retailer’s
confidence, and eventually overall retailer satisfaction level
