Assessment Design and Methodology

For the purpose of conducting these assessments, JK Lakshmi Cement competencies were mapped to
Kincentric’s globally researched and benchmarked behavioral indicators. These indicators were then
mapped to Kincentric’s suite of assessments. The key principle followed in the design of the development
center was the mapping of each behavior to multiple tools that were in turn used identify your strengths
and areas of development. In the subsequent sections of the report you will see the range of your
performance on each of the competencies along with the performance on the behavioral indicators that
were mapped to them.

Understanding the Rating Scale

The rating scale used for the purpose of this assessment was a 9-point scale which can be described as
follows:

4-6 : Area of emerging

Each competency has been measured through multiple sub-competencies which were in turn measured
through a combination of tools. An average of your performance on the tools resulted in the score for
each sub-competency and subsequently, an average of your performance on the sub-competencies
resulted in your overall competency score.

• The ‘green tick’ under each competency demonstrates your overall score on the
leadership competency and the ‘blue bar’ demonstrates your range of performance across
the sub- competencies used to measure the competency.
• Similarly, the ‘green tick’ under each sub-competency demonstrates your overall score on the sub-
competency and the ‘blue bar’ represents the range of performance on the tools that were used to
measure performance on that dimension.
