deer curtain tie-back

Thank you for purchasing this pattern! Please, feel free to contact me, if you
have any question or feedback regarding this pattern. This pattern is for
personal use only and should not be in any way shared, published or sold.
This is an original design by myself, BB adorables. Hope you enjoy making
this deer!
Remarks
This project is working in continuous rounds, do not join or turn unless
otherwise stated.
Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the end or the beginning
of each round. Move the marker up every round.
All stitches are worked into both loops, unless stated otherwise in the
pattern.
If you need to change color, do it always at the end of the previous
round. Start the last stitch of the round with the old color. Change the
color right before you draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch.

Materials I use
This pattern can be made using any yarn you wish. Choose a hook size
that matches the yarn. If you want to increase or decrease the size of the
deer, use the correct yarn type for your hook.
It is important to make tight stitches. For a nice and satisfactory result
make sure you use a smaller hook than usually recommended for your
yarn. This way you will get a fabric tight enough to avoid small stretching
gaps between your stitches once stuffed, and so the filling doesn’t pop
out later.
For stuffing, they are many sorts of stuffing materials and the choice is
yours. For best results I recommend stuffing your project firmly, don’t
hesitate to overstuff as long as the yarn you are using allows it.

You can use:

▪ Worsted weight yarn in your color choice. I used:
Crafter’s Secret in Light Taupe (I used 3.5 mm hook for this yarn)
▪ Bernat Satin in Silk (I used 3 mm hook for this yarn)
▪ Size 3 mm and 3.50 mm hooks
▪ Stuffing
▪ Tapestry needle to weave in ends
▪ Stitch marker
▪ 10 mm black safety eyes
▪ Brown cotton thread for the nose
▪ Red yarn for the scarf (I used Bernat Super Value)

The height of this deer is 19 cm (7’5 inches) in the sitting position

(without including the antlers) and the arms' length is 20 cm (8 inches)

Abbreviations

CH = chain
SC = single crochet
SC2Tog = sc 2 together (decrease)
SC2 = sc 2 in one st (increase)
HDC = half double crochet
SL ST= slip stitch
ST(s) = stich (es)
BLO = back loop only
R = round
FO = fasten off

( ) = repeat between ( ) number of times indicated or all in one stitch as

noted.
The bracketed numbers at the end of the rounds represent the number
of stitches you should have at the end of that particular round.
Basic technique
Magic Ring : starting a piece with adjustable loop.
A magic ring is a way to begin crocheting in the round by crocheting over
and adjustable loop and then pulling the loop tight. The advantage of the
magic ring method is that there is no hole left in the middle of your
starting round.
If you don’t want to begin this way then use these steps: chain 2 and
crochet 6 sc into the first chain and then continue onto round 2.

Sew the hands and the legs to the deer’s body (see photo below for the
position of the hands and legs), in this case the deer is looking right, if
you wish to have your deer looking left, just sew the hands in the
opposite direction. Do the same with the legs. Make sure that the arms
are securely sewn onto the body. Congratulations your Deer is finished!!
