• Moda Vera GELATO - 50% acrylic, 50% cotton; 135m / 50g; Colour YELLOW
• Moda Vera GELATO - 50% acrylic, 50% cotton; 135m / 50g; Colour TAN
• Moda Vera GELATO - 50% acrylic, 50% cotton; 135m / 50g; Colour WHITE

• Polyester fibrefill
• Yarn needle
• Sewing needle (to sew on eyes)

I recommend using a hook one size smaller than what is specified on the

Step 4: Crocheting the mane

Crocheting the mane can be a little tricky if you’ve never done this before. It’s a little
bit like freestyle crocheting. The stitch itself is quite simple. It’s getting your hook in
the correct spot and working around the head and body piece in between the ears
that could get a little bit confusing. So, my first advice is to take your time.

Direction you will be working:

Step 5: Sewing the eyes
If you are opting to use crocheted eyes, you can attach them using a sewing needle.
Always work the stitch directly underneath where the eye piece is sitting on. I like to
place my eyes about 2-3 rows above the TAN muzzle section.

Step 6: Attaching the legs

You will be attaching the legs to the body using the “mattress stitch”. Attach the
legs by working the vertical posts of the leg piece.
