MATERIALS AND TOOLS: 1

1. Plush yarn (100g/120m):


Beige (Himalaya Dolphin Baby 80365)
Red (Himalaya Dolphin Baby 80318)
White (Himalaya Dolphin Baby 80301)
2. Black thread to embroider the eyes and the eyebrows (I use
YarnArt Jeans 53)
3. Safety eyes 10 mm
4. Crochet hook 4.00 mm
5. Stuffing (Polyester fiber fill)

If you use these materials, the finished toy is around


25-27 cm (10-11") tall.

There are no crochet instructions included in the pattern.


It's assumed that you're familiar with the basic crochet stitches.
The difficulty level of the pattern is medium.
I use US terminology in this pattern.

ABBREVIATIONS:
st – stitch
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tr - treble crochet
inc – increase
dec – decrease

ARMS: 2

Start crocheting with the beige color.


Stuff only the lower 2/3 of the arm.

1. 6 sc into a magic ring (6)


2. 6 inc (12)
3. (3 sc, inc)*3 (15)

5. (sc, dec)*5 (10)

Change the yarn to red color.

6. 10 sl st
7. Back loops only (crochet in the back loops
of the sl st you made in round 6): 10 sc

Change the yarn to white color.

8-9. 10 sc

Change the yarn to red color.

10. 10 sc
11. (3 sc, dec)*2 (8)

Change the yarn to white color.

12. 8 sc
13. Crochet only 3 sc. Fold the arm in half
and crochet 4 sc through both sides.

Fasten off and cut the yarn.


LEGS: 3

Start crocheting with the red yarn.


Stuff only the lower 2/3 of the leg.

Make chain 4, start in the second chain


from the hook:

1. inc, sc, 4 sc into the last chain, work


on along the other side: sc, inc (10)

2. 2 inc, sc, 4 inc, sc, 2 inc (18)

Change the yarn to white color.

9. 12 sc

Change the yarn to beige color. Don't cut


the white yarn, move it to the front of
your work.

10. Back loops only: 12 sc

11-13. 12 sc (3 rounds)
14. (dec, 4 sc)*2 (10)
LEGS: 4

15. Make only 1 sc (or as much as you


need for the foot to be facing forward). Fold
the leg in half and crochet 5 sc through
both sides.

Fasten off and cut the beige yarn.

Now take the white yarn and crochet 12


sl st in the front loops of round 10.

Fasten off and cut the white yarn.


Hide the thread inside.
BODY WITH BLOUSE: 5

Start crocheting with the beige color.


Stuff as you go.

1. 6 sc into a magic ring (6)

Here we will join the legs:

7. 6 sc, 5 sc through the first leg and the


body, 13 sc, 5 sc through the second leg
and the body, 7 sc (36)

8. 36 sc

Change the yarn to red color.


9. 36 sl st
10. Back loops only (crochet in the back
loops of the sl st you made in round 9):
36 sc

Change the yarn to white color.


11. 36 sc
12. (4 sc, dec)*6 (30)

Change the yarn to red color.


13. 30 sc
14. (3 sc, dec)*6 (24)
BODY WITH BLOUSE: 6

Change the yarn to white color.


15-16. 24 sc

Change the yarn to red color.

Crochet 1-2 sc more, so that the marker is


exactly in the middle of the back.

Now we will join the arms:

17. 4 sc, 4 sc through the first arm and


the body, 8 sc, 4 sc through the second
arm and the body, 4 sc (24)

Check if the arms are symmetrical to the


legs. If not, correct the stitches.

Make a sl st, fasten off and cut the yarn,


leaving a long tail for sewing.

Stuff the body firmly, especially in the


neck.

Sew the head to the body in head rounds


5-10. While sewing and there is a little
hole left, stuff with more fiberfill so that
the neck is more stable.
TUTU SKIRT: 7

If you want, you can make a blouse with


a tutu skirt.

Crochet the body with the blouse.

Take a long ribbon (at least 40-50 cm).

Take a thin thread and a small needle


and thread the ribbon from the
beginning to the end.
If the ribbon is very wide like mine - you
thread it in the middle. If it's shorter -
you thread it near one of the edges.

Pull the thread so that the ribbon is


quilled. It should be as long as the the
belly circumference.

Sew the tutu skirt near the end of the


blouse.
BODY WITH DRESS: 8

Start crocheting with the beige color.


Stuff as you go.

Crochet rounds 1-7 the same way as the


body with blouse.

Change the yarn to pink color.

8. 36 sc
9. Back loops only: 36 sc
10. 36 sc

Change the yarn to white color.


Continue crocheting as the body with
blouse.

Now attach the white yarn to the middle


of the back in the front loops of round 9.
Crochet with the body turned upside
down (look at the picture):

1. ch 2, (2 dc in one st, 2 dc in one st, 3 dc


in one st)*14, sl st (84)
2. ch 2, 84 dc, sl st

Fasten off and cut the yarn.


Hide it inside the skirt.
HEAD: 9

Crochet with the beige yarn.


Stuff as you go.

6. 8 sc, 8 inc, 8 sc (32)

Insert the safety eyes in the second and


in the 7th increases in round 6 (look at
the picture). There should be 4 inc visible
between them.

9-14. 42 sc (6 rounds)

16. 2 sc, dec, (4 sc, dec)*5, 2 sc (30)
17. (3 sc, dec)*6 (24)

Make sure that the head is stuffed firmly.


Close the opening and hide the yarn
inside.
HEAD SCULPTING: 10

Mark the points 1-6 with pins, as it’s


shown in the photo. Points 1 and 2 should
be in round 5.
Insert a long threaded needle into point 1
and pull it out at point 3. Then insert into
point 4 and pull out at point 2 in the
bottom of the head. Now insert the
needle through point 1 and pull it out at
point 5. Insert it into point 6 and pull out
at point 2. The thread should be under
the eyes.
Pull the thread ends tight until the desired
indentation is reached and tie a knot.
Hide the thread inside the head.
EMBROIDERING: 11

Look at the pictures below.


Insert a needle with a black or plush thread in the bottom of the
muzzle and pull it out between rounds 4 and 5. Make this 2-3
times, pulling the thread tight. Tie a knot.
With the black thread embroider the eyebrows and the nose.
Color the cheeks with a pink blush.
EARS: 12

Crochet with the beige color.

Make a magic ring with chain 2 and


crochet 6 dc in it.

Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a


long tail for sewing.

Sew the ears to the head between


rounds 11 and 12 with 12 stitches apart.

TAIL:
Crochet with the beige color.
Stuff a little.

1. 6 sc into a magic ring (6)


2. 6 inc (12)
3. 12 sc (12)
4. (sc, dec)*4 (8)

Make a sl st, fasten off and cut the yarn,


leaving a long tail for sewing.
Stuff the tail lightly. Sew it on the back
under the end of the blouse.
RIBBON: 13

Crochet with pink yarn:

Make a magic ring (or chain 2) and


crochet in it: (4 ch, 3 tr, 4 ch, sl st)*2

Tighten the magic ring, fasten off and


cut the yarn leaving a tail for sewing.
Wrap the yarn around the ribbon a few
times. Make a knot.

Sew the ribbon on the head, near one of


the ears.

SCARF OR COLLAR:
Crochet with red or pink color.

1. Make chain 5 and crochet 3 hdc on it,


starting in the third chain from the hook
2-29. ch 2, turn, 3 hdc in the back loops
of the previous round (28 rounds)

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Hide the tail


inside.

If you want to make a collar, crochet it


shorter - only 14-15 rounds. Sew the
ends together. Sew the collar between
the body and the head.
