SCRIPT

GRADUATION and COMPLETION CEREMONY

 Commencement – a word from French origin which means beginning. Indeed, there is a
good reason they call ceremonies, commencement exercises. Graduation is not the end.
It is the beginning.

 Good morning and welcome to the Graduation and Completion Ceremony 2017 of Saint
Augustine School with the theme “Dreaming and Achieving the Fullness and Abundance
of Life Together.”

 Ladies and Gentlemen, the Processional

o Roll out the red carpet for the Elementary graduating class of batch 2017.
o The candidates for completion of Junior High School
o Let us give a glad hand to the pillar of this institution, the faculty, staff and
administrators of Saint Augustine School together with the honoured guest.

 Ladies and gentlemen, The ENTRANCE OF COLORS

 Let us show our deference by standing still for the…


o Invocation to be led by Reign Austine Escano,
o The singing of the Philippine National Anthem by Joe Christian Esguerra
o Pledge of Allegiance by Pher Santiago Jr.
o The declaration of the DICES VM by Alyssa Marie Castro
o The Saint Augustine School’s Vision and Mission by Louraine Maraan; and
o The singing of the Augustinian Hymn to be led by Angel Castillo.

 Please be seated…

 To set the tone of this day’s ceremony, may I call on Ryza Denise De Villa, elementary
graduating student for her Welcome Remarks. Please give her a big hand.

 At this point, let us welcome our School Principal, Mrs. Lorena P. Viado to formally
introduce our commencement speaker. Lets give her a big hand.

COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER’ SPEECH

 Thank you very much Mr/Ms/ for the words of wisdom that you imparted to our
graduating class.

 And now the most significant moment in every graduation ceremony has come. May we
call on Mrs. Lorena P. Viado, School Principal for the presentation of candidates for
graduation. This is to be followed by the acceptance, confirmation and distribution of
certificates. Let us welcome them to carry out the graduation rites to be assisted by our
guest.

DISTRIBUTION OF DIPLOMA

 Let us give our utmost felicitation to the graduates of elementary department, Batch
2017.

 At this juncture, let me call on the Ms. Maida Vislenio to present the Grade 10
Completers. Let us give her a round of applause.

Let’s give our Completers a big round of applause!

 At this point, may I request our school director, our dear principal and our guest to be on
stage for the awarding of the certificates of completion.

 Once again, congratulations to our graduates and completers of academic year 2017-2018

PLEDGE OF LOYALTY – Samantha Nicole Zamora

 After many years of hardwork and dedication, graduates and completers, it is about time
to reward your commitment towards education. Reap the fruits of your labor. Once again,
may I request our school director, principal and our guest of honor to be on stage in the
awarding of medals and certificates to the graduates and completers with distinctions and
special awards.

 Congratulations to all of you!

 In every memorable moment of one’s life, there are always songs that will embody
inferred emotions. With a round of applause, let us welcome the gradutes and completers
for their thanksgiving song to be led by Angel Castillo and Christian Carl Cuento.

 To express the gratitude of our completers and graduates, once again, let me call on
Christian Carl Cuento for the thanksgiving message of batch 2017.

 And to formally conclude this momentous event, let me call on Ms. Charito Lepardo,
adviser of elementary graduates for her closing remark. (Applause)

 Let us all listen to our graduates and completers as they sing the Alma mater Song to be
led by Angel Castillo, a grade 10 completer.
 This graduation and completion ceremony has truly been noteworthy for everyone here.
Graduation is indeed a time of completion, of finishing, of an ending, however, it is also a
time of celebration of achievement and most importantly a beginning for the new
graduates,
