Overview:
In the next two weeks, you will learn about the Earth System and its Composition. The Earth
System is an integrated system that can be divided into four main components or subsystems -
the geosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere.
Duration:
Eighteen (18) hours
Week 3 Instructions:
Duration: Nine (9) hrs

c. The persuasive speech should be supported by evidence. This must be a strong
and well developed argument that will defend the viewpoint of the statement.
This should be accompanied with articles or research that may support the
statement.
d. The argument of the persuasive speech should be in a logical manner that makes
it easy and interesting to follow the writer's train of thoughts.
e. There should be a conclusion.
6. After the synchronous session, you may start writing your persuasive speech and look for
articles that may support your statement.
7. You may submit the speech before the deadline for checking and revise after checking.
8. You may also use hand written output as long as it is readable.
9. You will continue creating your storyboard based on the additional instructions given by
your teacher.
10. Submit your work on or before the due date.
Week 4 Instructions:
Earth System and its Components
Duration: Nine (9) hrs
1. You need to memorize the approved persuasive speech and deliver your speech in front
of the class.
2. Your teacher will give instruction for the flawless presentation of the speech:
a. Each student will be given 3 minutes only
b. Brief or Summary of the speech is need not the whole speech
c. Presenter will be graded not just by the teacher but also his/her classmate
d. Teacher will assign the student their respective number.
5. Your teacher will also give the criteria for grading the speech.
a. Emphasis on the viewpoint on the topic - 20 pts
b. Evidential support - 30 pts
c. Organization of thoughts - 20 pts
d. Conclusion - 30 pts
6. During the synchronous session, your teacher will ask you to start the presentation
7. After each presentation, the presenter will be graded immediately.
