Responsibilities:
• Analyze & process aerial data acquired by different UAV platforms.
• Manage and maintain all collected data and files in an organized structure.
• Ensure all projects’ deliverables are delivered on time and as per client’s
requirements.
• Train and develop Junior & Senior Remote Sensing Analysts.
• Develop and maintain a Quality Management system to ensure all data and
deliverables
are meeting best industry’s standards and practices.
• Work closely with UAV Pilots to ensure aerial data is acquired as per the
recommended parameters to ensure the acquisition of high-quality data.
• Work closely with Sales Team to support with preparation of proposals and
tenders.
• Help HR team with developing career development plans for Junior & Senior
Remote Sensing Analysts and conducting interviews for new candidates.
• Lead Remote Sensing discussions and meetings with clients’ focal points.
• Report directly to UAV Operations Manager.
• Work closely with company’s senior management to introduce new
technologies and practices on regular basis.
• Prepare and present presentations to clients whenever required.
• Discuss project goals, equipment requirements, or methodologies with colleagues
or team members.
• Direct installation or testing of new remote sensing hardware or software.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Remote Sensing, GIS, or any other related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Remote Sensing.
Proven experience working with different UAV platforms.
Proven work experience working with different types of Sensors such as RGB, IR,
LiDAR, Hyperspectral, etc.
Previous experience working with Photogrammetry software such as Pix4D,
ContextCapture, etc.
Project Management experience or qualifications.
Fluent in English in writing and verbally.
Ability to prepare and present presentations.
Remote sensing makes use of visible, near infrared and short-wave infrared
sensors to form images of the earth's surface by detecting the solar
Supervise, monitor and evaluate the activities of the local GIS staff;
Coordinate GIS activities related to other facets of the organization's work;
Provide technical and project management support to engineering staff;
Perform GIS spatial and remote sensing analyses as required;
Photogrammetry and land surveying have a lot of overlap, and that’s why
so many in this industry are incorporating this technology into their practice.
While satellite imagery has been the go-to for years, drones are able to
take much more accurate images of things like contours and landmasses.
Land surveyors can utilize photogrammetry to make more
accurate measurements. This research can be applied in broader ways,
benefiting the entire community
