TCD 165 OVER SPEED DETECTION DURING HIGH-SPEED RUNNING Application


Detection ○ Speed CPU ● DI180-420

[Meaning] When E/L speed, during high-speed running, exceeds 120% of rated [Actions to take]
speed because of abnormally increased 1st frequency command.
This abnormal increasing is chiefly caused by Speed CPU error.
(This error is detected before governor operation.) 1. Check E/L speed
Measure E/L speed by means of a tachometer.
[Explanation] 1) At normal, the speed is [Rated Speed]± value.
2) At abnormal, replace DOC-200 PCB.

RUNNING JJH_Velocity>=H_OVER_SPEED_V 2. Check R/E output pulse wave form.


1) Verify if there are no pulse breakdown at ØA wave(40T1/22~T1/21 )
HIGH-OVER_V_DETECT
and ØB wave (40T1/20~40T1/19).
558FH 3230H 2) If any errors are found, check motor earth, reactor earth course and
building earth course.
3. Check timer for R/E pulse counter.
1) Measure detection speed of Run CPU and Speed CPU during normal
operation and compare them with the values obtained from the
HIGH-OVER_V_DETECT equation stated below to see if there is any significant error or not.
TCD165 2) If any errors are found, examine it again additionally referring to the
above item 2.

If there is no fault in R/E pulse, replace DOC-200 DPC-1XX PCB.

[Meaning] When E/L speed continues to be as 1.4 times as the rated speed for [Actions to take]
160 msec. during low-speed running or to be 20m/min or more for 160m
sec. during ALP running. (The velocity of low-speed running is specified in
SPEC.)
1. Check E/L speed.
[Explanation] 1). Measure E/L speed by means of a tachometer.(All by 15 m/min)
2). Check the speed obtained from Run CPU and Speed CPU by
inputing ‘A87E’ on ANN.
3). If any error is detected though item 1) is normal, speed detection circuit
FAST_RUN_ PCC_LOW- is judged to be failed.
OS_C1BR COMMAND SPEED PCC_ATPE RUNNING
-Check the speed detection circuit of R/E,DOC-200 PCB.
-Check the pulse counter circuit of R/E,DOC-200 PCB.

judged to be inferior.
- Check DPC-1XX, DPP-XXX, and DOC-200 PCB.
- Check IGBT.

SLOW-OVER_V_DETECT 2. Check R/E pulse
1).Check ØA and ØB of R/E with oscilloscope.

2) No pulse error and oscillation permitted.
3) Pulse should be produced at a certain interval during low-speed running.
