RUN CPU H/W WDT ERROR ○ Speed CPU

Application
Detection ● DI180~420

[Meaning] [Actions to take]

WDT RESET signal is outputted by Run CPU at 5ms interval. If this
signal is not outputted 4 or more consecutive times, this status is

detected as an error.
Must be at least +4.8[V].
1) DOC-200 PCB : +5[V] => Connector MG/1, MG/6
GND => TP16(Located just above Connector MG)
[Explanation]
2) DOR-230 PCB : +5[V] => Connector SMP/1, SMP/6
GND => TP10(Located just above Connector OUT)
WDT RESET signal(WDI) is outputted by Run CPU at 5ms interval in the 5ms 3) DPC-1XX PCB : +5[V] => Connector VF/1
Task that is operated by interrupt(IR0 of 82C59A) produced from 8254 Timer at GND => Connector VF/4, VF/5

outputted from CPU but not normally inputted into MAX791, the Watchdog Timer

inside the MAX791 outputs “LOW” as the WDT ERROR signal(WDP0#). This 2) Run CPU H/W WDT ERROR → ON
signal is latched(M-WDTE#) and reversed, and then sent
to DPC-1XX or DPC-300 PCB which, Speed CPU detects TCD 4 error. 3. If WDT LED of DOC-200 PCB is on, turn OFF control panel power
or PCB by applying power and then turning them ON again, in order to
check CPU performing booting normally.

4. If WDT LED of DOC-200 PCB is still ON 10 sec after power has re-
input with DPC PCB Speed CPU operating normally, verify if Speed
CPU RETRY (at most 8 times) automatically resets Run CPU and
normally booting again.
1) If Run CPU has never been re-booted, there are possibly errors in
DOR-230(#1) PCB, DPC-1XX PCB, or PCB connecting status. So,
check PCB connecting connector(MA, VE) cables for connecting
status.
2) Try replacing DOR-230(#1) PCB.
3) Try replacing DPC-1XX PCB.

5. If WDT LED OFF in DOC-200 PCB has failed within 10 sec after
power OFF-ON 2~3 consecutive times,
1) Try replacing flash memory(U12, U13) in DOC-200 PCB.
2) If no correction occurs with Flash Memory replacement,
replace DOC-200 PCB.
