INTRODUCTION

Production management is the process of planning,


organizing, directing and controlling the activities of the
function. production function is the conversion of raw material
into finished goods.

Shyam furniture are a symbol of Ahemdabad tredition.


They were used in Ahemdabad from 100s of year ago. This
project is meant to setup manufacturing unit of shyam furniture
such as chair, coat, windows and door etc. the unit will
undertake the job work also. The unit envisages manufacturing
of Shyam furniture on different designs out of quality wood like
teak Anjili, Rose wood etc. but mainly on teak wood.

Cut logs are carried to the sawmill, which obtains its
primary inputs from the machinery sector. from there, sawn
timber moves to furniture manufacturers who, in tum,obtain
inputs from the machinery, adhesives and paint industrys and
also draw on design and branding skills from the service sector.
Depending on which market is served, the furniture then process
to though various intermediary stages until it reaches the final
customer, who after use consigns the furniture for recycling or
refise.

the products of the company most of the marketing is done by

employees are not available, it will lead to wastage of materials,
time, effort and energy, resulting in lower productivity and poor

HR department want to have seprate training and


development unit in her HR department. these HR specialists
will focus on runing new employee orientation. It will
development and implement a program of continuous traning
and education for employees to keep their skills sharp and up to
date. The unit will also coordinate with the compantion and
benefits administretion unit regarding any reimbursements
offered to eligible employees for outside education and training.

This in dependent department looks after functions such as


recrutments, training & development, compention and benefits
industrial relation ect. These centers work in the close
coordination with HR front office and HR back office while try
to get the best out of employees throgh excellent HR practices
and procedures.

present and future job requrements. The process of HRD
involves the development of expertise in the employee through
organizational development and training and development. The
